The Majestic Hotel

The location just outside Fira was good and quiet. The hotel's facilities were excellent, and the restaurant and breakfast were very good. I would recommend this hotel to others traveling to Santorini.

When i look back to when we went in May, the hotel was fine, not a 5 star, maybe 4 star at a push. Santorini in general was beautiful for the views but the back streets were not. Full of young loud american girls. The town of thira where we stayed was brash with expensive jewellery shops, fast food shops. The restaurants facing the caldera have excellent views but that comes at a price. Other resorts on the island are not that pretty and i wouldn’t want to stay there mainly because the only reason we went to santorini was because we wanted to experience the beautiful views. Would we go back, definitely not, much prefer skiathos any day

The breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. The environment was very neat. Very clean room. Nice location, not too far from Fira shopping center. The pool area is well maintained. Good stuff in the bathroom; bathrobes, shampoo, vanity kit etc.

I would not call this a 5 star hotel though as the bathroom was just 'basic'. The hotel has no shuttle bus taking customers to the shopping center and tourist areas. Also, i think some staff at the reception and breakfast restaurant are not used to seeing people of other races. Acting aloof, snubbish and sarcastic to guest will not help any hospitality organisation in the 21st century. There was a nice young man and a lady called Virginia at the breakfast restaurant who were really kind. The evening restaurant has no starters on their menu! My friends complained that the man at the restaurant was rude to them. No movie or music channels on the cable TV.

Great location, on top of the hill with sunset and sunrise views ! This hotel has the perfect layout with a beautiful landscape, pool and it's not to small nor to big. The staff is very attentive, friendly and quick even at the end of their tourist season. I loved my stay and would not hesitate to go back! It's a 10 minute walk to town which is just enough to be quiet.

Great option, 10 minutes from town with views of sunset and sunrise. The service staff was amazing, Amin and his bar tender at night and Dora and her colleague in the morning had smiles and no request was not tended to very quickly. I really appreciated my stay and believe you will too!
