Airai Water Paradise Hotel & Spa

Loved my second room with above; glad I switched from my large newly renovated? built? room with no view at all. Staff were wonderful ladies on the desk, and obliging Filipinos to take me to town and beach on shuttle bus. Did not like the beach - private on the bay under the bridge. Too many noisy machines on the sea.

The Airai is a pretty average Hotel with one exception...the staff who were always very cheerful and eager to please. They upgraded our room with no charge and changed out our hard as concrete mattress's with brand new ones. They were very accommodating arranging free shuttles into town and even to our dive operator which was 20 minutes away. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Not a great location for town or Malakal Harbor where our dive operator was but 5 minutes to the airport.

There were ants in the room, used and discarded band-aids in the shower, and the carpet had a weird funky smell. Overall, the room was ok I guess, but next time I'll be staying somewhere else.

Airai Water Paradise in Palau has some great facilities , including a water park , great pool area , lovely restaurant , but needs a lot of maintainence work. Beds were extremely hard , but at it's price gave value for money

...hotel near the Airai airport if you have to do business or that area or transfer the flights...overall it has seen its best days though...buta very friendly staff! The internetconnection is terrible....

The service and the environment of the hotel is good. I feel comfort staying there. However, if you want to live in the town center, it is not your choice. It suits people who like relax.

This hotel was chosen for convenience to the airport. Bad decision. The beds were as hard as the floor. This hotel caters to Taiwanese tourists and others (such as Americans) are not given good service. The focus was on squeezing every penny out of the customer. Buffet was mostly Asian, and was not very good. Large cockroach seen on the fruit tray. Would not stay here again.

No vending machines, no drinks to buy. when restraunt closes, there is no place even within walking distance to get food or drinks

Renovated rooms are quite nice (clean, modern, good views) - avoid the non-renovated ones. The facilities (particularly the pool and grounds) could use a little TLC, but the restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices. Very friendly and efficient staff (although language can be a bit of a barrier as most of the clientele, and thus most of the staff, are Chinese). Convenient location between the airport and Koror (but far enough away from both to have peace and quiet), but look elsewhere if you were expecting a beach (why go all that way to lie on a beach since all of the action is on the reefs???). All in all a good place to stay for the price.

Excellent value for the money. A hotel driver was waiting for us at the airport. Convenient location close to the airport. Ample selection for breakfast--included in the price. Very attentive staff. Room layout was a bit awkward, but otherwise comfortable. The immense wooden storyboard wall in the lobby is impressive! We didn't take advantage of the water park facilities, but it was enjoyable to watch the kids having a blast.
