Cobblestone Suites - Ripon

Our stay at Cobblestone Suites was wonderful. Our room had everything we needed and the king suite had a couch and plenty of space. However, it was the staff that made our stay great. They were so caring and helpful with where things were in town. On our day of departure, lightening took out the elevator, the computers and many lights. Staff were in the lobby offering to bring people’s luggage down for them, even as they were having to carry their own supplies upstairs. You could see them function as a team and gracefully handle a challenging situation. Kudos to all of you!!

We had a nice 1-night stay. Everything was good, but everyone had issues with their room keys not working.

It was nice. We come for the basketball in the pool, the kids splash pad, and the hot tub. Unfortunately one of the hoops is down. Considering the premium price, I think 2 things could be improved. 1. Breakfast. Go down south, the big chains do it right. 2. Have a loyalty club or a punch card.

When we got to our room it smelt super musty so we kindly requested a different room. The staff was understanding and great. That one also smelt bad although not quite as bad. We looked at the air conditioner and noticed mold inside it. Luckily we really only slept there and just left the window open instead of running the ac.

Hidden fee at check-in for $50. It was supposed to be reimbursed in 2 days. 1.5 weeks later and still trying to get my money back.

People were helpful, room was large, shower was good, for the US the breakfast was better than most for this sort of accommodation, free parking

A little soulless and dull but everything else was better than average

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights, July 21-25, 2025. We stayed in a room with a “hot tub”, although we didn’t try the hot tub until the last evening, The stay had a poor start when we learned that the room wouldn’t be serviced until after our third night there. The lady checking us in acted like we were expecting way too much when we asked to have the room serviced daily. When COVID was a thing, I can understand why it wasn’t standard practice to service rooms daily, but COVID has effectively been over for three years, so why haven’t they gone back to servicing rooms daily? It’s pure greed. If I wanted a dirty room, I would have chosen a much cheaper hotel! They eventually decided to honor my “special request” and service the room daily, but my point is, that should be NORMAL, NOT a “special request”. The room itself was quite nice and large. No complaints until we tried to use the hot tub on our last evening there. It wouldn’t work. Having it not work wasn’t very good for our plan for a romantic evening. I began to troubleshoot the problem, and when I finally opened the plumbing access door, I found the pump was not plugged in. I plugged it in, and suddenly it worked…for about 20 minutes, then it went off by itself. After about 5 minutes, it again came on for about 3 minutes, then off again. Finally we gave up on the idea of lounging in it for very long, and we got out. But, since we now wanted it to stay off, we unplugged the pump and left it unplugged. We were staying there in order to attend AirVenture in Oshkosh, and the prices charged for rooms were not cheap. With so many guests during the week, we noticed that one girl was expected to both man the front desk AND service the breakfast area. That was far more than one girl could handle, although she was doing her best. I give this hotel a 3 rating because of poor management. It’s a nice, clean property, but the management is not dedicated to excellent customer service.
