Palacio Urgoiti

The staff was very kind. The hotel is showing wear, does not have a functional business center or a way to easily print boarding passes, which is unusual for a ln hotel by the airport. It was ok for 1 night.

The service was very good, I visited with my mother and they recommended great places to visit in Bilbao, the room was cleand and spacious including high ceilings, however the location is not the most convenient if your main intention is to visit Bilbao as it is more than 15 -20 mins away driving

Having previously stayed here nine years ago, this magnificent hotel has lost none of it's charm. It appears to be in the middle of nowhere with mountains all round but dining is good and reasonably priced. Parking is free but it's a shame it has no outdoor pool and the carpets are beginning to show their age. In fact it's very close to Bilbao Airport and the runway is just about visible from the terrace. However, we were not disturbed by any noise.

Great food, clean rooms

Lovely property. We were not disappointed, because we expected it to be somewhat faded and re-purposed, and this was in fact what we found. Also, the amenities are not to American standards; cleanliness was a minor problem; and the restaurant help was supercilious, though ultimately helpful and friendly. This said, the hotel was an oasis of quiet and beauty, and easy to gain access with a car and park. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel when in or near Bilbao.

First class by the airport

We originally only planned to stay one night, but after arriving to the Palacio and seeing our room (vary spacious), we opted to book another night. It was a little drive into Bilbao, but totally worth it for the peaceful location with beautiful views.

I chose it to be near the airport, but it is really a palace surrounded by gardens and greenery. Quiet. Good food. Excellent last night in Europe.
