Pan Pacific Xiamen

We stayed for 6 nights and have bites almost every morning.

我们入住前后4晚，每天晚上都恰好遇到同一位客房部帮忙整理卫生的姐姐. 人特别好，服务态度很棒，反应也很快，从我们打电话到她进来不到10分钟. 房间如果挂上“休息中”也不会敲门打扰. 晚上回到房间还记得我们给打招呼. 一起旅行的老人家跟她聊天很愉快. 姐姐很乐意与我们分享厦门周围有哪里好玩的，什么该吃的，给我们在厦门留下了很好的印象. 姐姐名字叫做 叶美兰. 给热情的姐姐点赞👍 We stayed for 4 nights, and every night we happened to meet the same room service attendant whose service attitude was great, and response was very fast. It took less than 10 minutes from the time we called to the time she came in. If the room has "do not disturb" on, she won't knock on the door to disturb us. When we return to the room at night, she remembers us and say hello. Sister is very happy to share with us what fun places to visit and what to eat around Xiamen , left a very good impression on us in Xiamen. Sister’s name is Ye Meilan. Highly recommend 👍

The hotel is closed to the airport and the staff are helpful. The buffet was very good with many selections. The room is quiet.

This was a very comfortable hotel. The room was spacious, with a good workspace area, lots of storage, a nice reading chair and table by the window, and a huge bathroom with both a large shower and a bathtub. They also supplied lots of complimentary bottled water. The location was good; there were quite a few shops in the area, including restaurants and places to buy snacks. I even got a haircut at a shop about a block from the hotel. The buffet breakfast was very good. On the first morning (which was a Sunday), every Chinese tour group staying in the hotel seemed to come down for breakfast at the same time, so the breakfast area was crowded and the staff had trouble keeping all the buffet items full. On the second morning (a Monday) it was much quieter, the staff could keep up easily, and everything was good. I'm not sure about pricing, as this hotel was booked by a tour company (Laurus Travel from Vancouver). Also not sure about access to the metro, as the tour company had a driver and guide. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel, and would stay here again on a return visit to Xiamen.

Between check-in and check-out you will find Panpacific Xiamen rated top. Staffs are extremely friendly and provide services well beyond expectations. This hotel is also kid-friendly with unbelievable breakfast everyday. The breakfast service is excellent and the breakfast selection is extensive

Good location as it’s next to the the metro. Easily accessible to Zhongshan Lu shopping areas by taxi. Cost about RMB30 and takes 15 minutes. We booked three rooms and David, the Manager, was accommodating enough to allocate us in adjacent rooms on level 6. We booked a two bedroom apartment, a one bedroom apartment and a standard room. The apartment was tastefully laid out and equipped with a kitchen including utensils. There was a 2-in-1 washer too. Breakfast was average and catered towards the locals. Nonetheless there was a selection of the usual wester fare, ie eggs, bread, bacon etc. There is a 24hrs gym which was fully equipped. Outdoor pool was available from 8am onwards. Staff were accommodating and were most helpful.

The people are very nice. Great service. They need to open breakfast in the club area again.

Came to Xiamen for a few days for holiday recently. We chose Pan Pacific due to it's location. It is within 5min walk to the mrt station and has small restaurants and a supermarket all within 5min walk. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially auntie 美兰. She ensures our rooms are spotless everyday. On one occasion when we ran out of toilet paper and called the reception, she came over to replenish it in no time. Sometimes when we meet her along the corridor while going out, she will also offer tips on where to visit as well as the temperature of that day to ensure we are properly dressed for the weather. Overall a great stay!

Booked this hotel we needed a decent place to stay for a week-long trip in Xiamen China. The Good 1. Staff - Very warm and accommodating. Everyone is eager to help out with our luggage, cleaning, and some issues. Thanks especially to Ms. Elaine who we encountered in the concierge desk. She was very helpful and assisted us with some of our concerns. Also to the housekeeper on the 21st floor for always keeping our room tidy. 2. Room is pretty huge! 3. BATHROOM. STRONG SHOWER WATER PRESSURE. BATH TUB. Perfect way to relax those aching joints and muscles after looooong day of errands and walking. 4. Quite accessible to places. You can walk... take a bus ride... take a cab... Transportation options are plentiful. The Bad 1. This is quite subjective but I didn't like the pillows and the mattress. 2. Not much activity within the vicinity at night, so you might need to stock up on snacks just in case you get hungry in the middle of the night. 3. Internet connection is quite stable... until you start using VPN to browse sites which are banned in Mainland China. 4. This being a non-smoking hotel, but we can still smell the smoke coming from the next door neighbor/s. The Verdict We would definitely consider staying in Pan Pacific Xiamen when we have the chance to travel to Xiamen again someday, with our son.

About the stay: *Mid-tier king room with harbour view, room 1711 *2 nights What I loved: *The room was massive! The room was quite warm, but you came to appreciate this after coming back in from the cold *Plenty of towels and water *Great housekeeping *Well stocked bathroom with great amenities *The hotel seemed to be in a great location, didn't seem to cost much to get anywhere in a taxi What I was apathetic about: *The staff seemed surprised that a gay couple were checking in..? Usually, in my experience in Asia, it's just accepted, and the staff don't question whether you have chosen the right bed set up. *English ability at the hotel was passable, but not much more. English ability in Xiamen as a whole seemed low compared to other cities I've visited, but I did expect (perhaps incorrectly?) that English ability would be in line with other 5 star hotels I've stayed in in China (e.g. Sofitels, Ws, Marriotts, etc.) *It often took a while to get taxis (compared to my experiences in Guangzhou and Beijing) What I didn't like: *Breakfast was average. It was passable, but more akin to that of a 3 or 4 star hotel than a 5 star. I definitely expected WAY more for the class of hotel that this is. *No assistance with getting our luggage down the stairs when we left. We did leave early (about 6am), but that shouldn't mean you don't get offered help.
