It was in a handy location, walkable to a large beach, very clean, with comfortable well-appointed rooms at a reasonable price. Breakfast was great!

Not sure why I thought this place was ok last time I stayed here. I suppose it's ok for a night if you're looking for low budget--though it's hardly budget at $200+ total for one night. Check-in was a breeze. The staff were super friendly at all hours--they were the best part of my stay. The hotel has one noisy lift. The hallway was very smelly--perfume, cleaning solution, whatever it was it didn't smell good. The room wasn't any better--quite smelly and stuffy--and very dimly lit. I'd booked one king bed on their website but was given a room with two queen beds. Whatever. The room felt old and low budget. Though not what I'd booked, the queen bed was at least moderately comfortable. As it was two queen beds there was only a nightstand and power outlet on one side--not practical when two people need to charge devices at bedside. The room had a coffee maker and mini fridge. Everything felt damp, especially the carpet. Over all the room felt tired and low budget. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo. The sink faucet handle was loose, so it didn't work well. There was no towel rack or any place to hang the hand towel. Lame! The WiFi worked well--when it worked. The free parking was nice. I'd look elsewhere if I ever return to the area.

The beds was hard

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean room, slept well. Convenient for a walk to a couple of quick food place and the beach for the sunset. Close to Island Packers boat a Ventura Harbor to our trip out to Channel Island National Park .

Lots of noisy cars drive by. Furniture is worn out. Lumpy couch
