Basin Harbor

Our stay was wonderful. We had minor issues but were addressed quickly. Trash was left from last guest but once reported staff picked up within 15 minutes. We had reservation but were not seated on time, after it was brought to manger attention she was lovely and got us seated. The property is beautiful and tons of things to do for all ages. Lovely vacation!

We loved our cozy cabin on stilts right on the water. Pleasantview cabin had all the privacy and views. A resort around for generations. Has Dirty Dancing vibes. Beautiful property and service. So glad we stayed!

Amazing amazing When you new to do reset in your life stay here, step away from the world driven by anything other than peace, fresh air, seeing the bigger picture of this world we live in. You will it can not find better place to breathe, relax and reconnect in why we live !

I went for water tubing and the the marina staff was super kind and made sure that I was comfortable and set for tubing that morning. They always checked in with me during the trip (with a spotter) to make sure that I was okay and asked how how I would like to continue the trip (Fast, turns, circles, etc.). Would definitely come back again!

Absolutely beautiful property with lovely gardens everywhere. The harbor staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit outdated and the food was okay for the price. The pool is fantastic! My children had such a good time.

Cottages are very old. Faucet malfunctioned and couldn’t turn water off at one point. Ac window units are dirty and room has funny smell. Beds are very soft and you fall in. No tv in rooms. Not worth what we paid for. Trampolines in water covered in seagull droppings. Limited dining options although food is pretty good. Grounds are nice and clean but not enough trash barrels.

This was the 3rd time my husband and I have stayed at Basin Harbor. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. There is lots to do for all ages on the property. The cabins are rustic and that is why one goes there. There were, however, several instances that were a bit disappointing. Upon checking in we were told our cabin was not quite ready, but would be within the hour. We had asked for a cabin on the lake and inquired which one was ours. 30 minutes form being handed the keys they said they could not tell us that information. We had the breakfast buffet included in our rate. Several days when we arrived at a half empty dining room we were asked if we had made a reservation. When we said no but that we were on the breakfast plan, we were led to the last table in the room where one seat faced the wall. When asking for a different table it was rather grudgingly provided. During our entire stay the breakfast dining room was never even half full. The cabin was furnished in a charming rustic manner but was rather dirty. One day after watching the maid mop the floor I spilled something. The paper towel I used to wipe up the water came back black. There was dirt in the corners in the bathroom and cobwebs on the wooden furniture. We were sent a survey and we replied concerning these things. Their reply - "our blend of tradition and rustic charm isn't always the perfect fit for everyone" and "procedures......may not fit everyone's preferences". The rates charged are those of comparable superior resorts and the service here did not match.

We had an INCREDIBLE stay. Had a room in the lodge. It was quaint and quiet and perfect.
