Econo Lodge Meadville

When we arrived, I had my reservations printed off for 2 queen beds. They told us they do not have the room we reserved, but could give a a room with 1 bed and no heat, but would give us a portable heater. We said no. Left and went to Quality Inn and they had what we needed. Will never stay at an Econolodge ever again. What good were my reservations then????

This is litterly the most disgusting hotel room I've ever seen. I checked out ealry, only staying one night. The staff told me id get a refund but never actually checked me out so I was charged for all 4 nights, when i went back the protery owner was able to sort it out so hopefully I'll receive a refund.

Helpful staff.

The breakfast was purely theoretical. Possibly dry cereal and a coffee maker that did not work. There are across the street Cracker Barrel and Perkins for those who need actual breakfast. The chief problem was that the door to my first room could not be closed or locked and could be pushed open from the hallway. The problem to my next room was, while that door could be closed, it could not be locked however hard I tried pushing the door and the security chain was missing.

What a mess. Zero customer service or professionalism. All doors were propped open upon arrival, at 3:15 PM with no one at the desk. Someone was painting the lobby and cussing the entire time. No one "working" was in any kind of uniform, more like lounge clothes, with one employee fully barefoot. Employees verbally arguing with each other while we were trying to check in. Even though check in time was 3:00, our room wasnt ready. We were given keys for one room in a highly used, worn, and torn key envelope. We were given a different room before we even made it down the hall as the other room was cleaned first. Based on the discussions amongst the staff, it seemed more like a giant trap house than a hotel. Guests were stepping over vaccuum cleaner cords and construction materials to get to their rooms. Our room was serviceable, but not nice by any means, and the ripped out smoke detector and missing door latch were very concerning. There were poorly patched holes, mis-matched paint, and water damage in the bathroom. We vowed to not put anything near our faces during our stay. We checked in, left for an event, returned late, slept, and left as soon as possible in the morning. The very sorry excuse for a "continental breakfast" was easily skipped....some Cheerios and half a loaf of bread by the toaster would have violated our "nothing near our faces" rule. The light in the bathroom was flickering like a strobe light. Spend a few more dollars and find somewhere else to stay.

There was no heat, staff was never around and when they did appear it took an eternity to get anything done to fix any issues I was having.
