Super 8 by Wyndham Houghton Lake

Bed was not a queen; barely a double; reserve first floor; husband handicapped; told NO when arrived; argued point till got first floor; air conditioner barely could handle super hot weather; asked from new towels for 3 night-night clerk wrote it down; returned from business - NO fresh towels; desk told me he didn't see or read a note! Expensive and not worth the price; have no choice since working Houghton Lake during holiday weekends.

It was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the location was.great.

We brought out dog with us, they have a dog park but it was full of ticks, we had to take multiple off of him and us everytime we took him for a walk. They should treat the area to make it safer for the pets.

Friendly staff. Clean facility.

We were in room 203 and the floor next to us in 201 creaked terribly especially during the night. Woke us up.

Location an continental breakfast . Staff was nice

Pool not heated, an ticks were horrible. They really need to spray around the hotel premises an dog park

No hot water in our room they told us they are working on it and never fixed it lied and said we could go to another room but never did refused to offer us a refund then said the manager is refusing to show up to work so their is nothing they can do. Pool was ice cold people outside said it's been broke since they were there a week ago. Room was absolutely filthy wet slimy floors and walls. If it wouldn't have been 10 at night with our family we would have rather slept in the car that's how disgusting it was. We were unable to shower with 5 people there. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my 40 years of living. That picture I took paper towel and just wiped the floor that's how disgusting dirty it was.

Hot water went out second day there they provide absolutely no room service had to go to the front desk for towels everyday also didn’t help we found tons of trash and such underneath the beds

Couldn’t sleep because to noisy

The guy on staff was nice. Rooms were cleanish but old. The big problem I had is that the power went out and they don't have backup generators. There were no emergency lights in the room so I couldn't see to go to the bathroom. I had to leave for safety reasons. They refused to offer a refund for the unused night or a discount.

Property is in desperate need of updates and repairs. Hot tub and pool closed. Very disappointed
