Super 8 by Wyndham Houghton Lake

Great place. Very clean and modern.

Always have availability and front desk staff are always really awesome

There was an old molded coffee pod in the pot still so when I went to get hot water burnt nasty coffee came out instead

Not much was ok

Staff was upsetting plus $50 charge for damage fee that was a surprise to me the door safety lock was broken

The room was comfortable and well situated near entrances and exits. The breakfast, for a small town hotel, was adequate. I enjoyed fresh coffee and a waffle each morning while watching local news on TV.

Having stayed at the motel previously, I was surprised at the lack of hot water in the shower. It was only slightly warmer than luke-warm. Also, for reasons I can't comprehend, my room was never serviced during my stay at the Super 8 in Houghton Lake, MI. I would see the lady with the cart moving up and down the hall servicing rooms, but my bed linens were never changed, nor were my towels. Most peculiar.

Outdoor front entrance needs repair and a new design. Ice machine didn’t work. Air conditioning shut down periodically. Furniture needs to be replaced. TV is too small.

Dated hotel. It was clean

Window screen was half way popped out bathroom faucet didn’t spray well

Staff friendly & helpful. Felt bad they worked a bit short staffed on weekend. Pet friendly hotel & clean. Liked they had dog run in the back. Only disappointment was the beds were hard possibly broken springs but really sucked to not sleep well on a vacation we traveled 3 hours for.
