Bo Phut Resort & Spa

This is a really beautiful resort but the staff are what make it really special. They are so friendly, helpful and really go above and beyond in terms of service. The wonderful Jenny checked us in and couldn’t have been more helpful. She organised a short notice local meal including transfer to and from the hotel and she also sorted out our transfer to the boat the next day. She was so kind to our son and made him feel very special. We were lucky enough to get one of the garden plunge pool villas. It was spacious and private, a very short walk to the pool and the beach. We only stayed for one night but I would definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Staff is amazing and attentive. We stayed in the pool villa and it was incredible! Clean and quiet. The food is so good!

Wonderful stay! Pool area was great and, as standard in Thailand, the service was unmatched. Check in was very friendly, but very formal at the same time. This hotel knows how to add that extra magic touch and I couldn’t tell you exactly what it is. Rooms were beautiful and they smelled amazing! Just a perfect stay!

An absolute gem of a hotel with a beautiful boutique vibe and exceptional service and overall standard. It surpassed all our expectations:beautiful rooms and gardens, crystal clear pool, beach front location, exceptionally comfy beds, hugely attentive staff and the best breakfast we’ve ever had in terms of choice and quality. 5 stars all round!

You can see the resort is good - the multitude of five-star reviews are testament to that. So rather than repeat the obvious, here’s my take: five stars, five opinions. The Setting The resort’s in a sweet spot - peaceful and tucked away, but close to everything you might want to dip into. It’s about 10 minutes’ walk along the beach to Fisherman’s Wharf, with plenty of restaurants and bars en route. (Our pick: The Thai Tapas - easily one of the best meals we had locally.) You’re 20 minutes from the airport and also near two great beaches: Ban Tai (15 mins away), where Cape Away Beach Bar offers free loungers and decent food, and Choeng Mon (also 15 mins), where Mira Serene has free loungers and Carnival Beach Village is good for lunch. The resort will take you to both - and pick you up - in their air-conditioned taxi van. Their own beach is clean, quiet, and very easy to stay put on. The Vibe Peaceful is the word. No loud music, no fighting for sunbeds, no screeching children. There’s a kind of grown-up calm that’s hard to fake. There were always loungers available, always umbrellas for shade. The whole place feels like a boutique escape: polished but never pretentious. The service reflects that too - it’s confident, welcoming, and low-key in the best way. The Staff Some of the best we’ve encountered anywhere. They genuinely couldn’t do enough for you - professional but personable, always ready with a smile. A special thanks to Mr Aek, who got the British sense of humour completely, and Oakie and Mai poolside, who had an uncanny ability to appear with just what you needed - umbrella repositioned, towel sorted, sunbed arranged. The kind of service that happens without fuss but leaves an impression. The Room A perfect retreat after a day in the sun. Spacious, calm and cool - thanks to powerful air-con - and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. The bathroom was spotless, with a powerful shower and a nightly turn-down service that made everything feel that bit more relaxed. It was well-appointed, well-maintained, and very quiet. Exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually rest on holiday. The Food Breakfast and lunch were laid-back and good quality - plenty of variety, fresh ingredients, and never rushed. For a bit of variety at lunchtime, we recommend walking down the beach to Fisherman’s Wharf and trying La Cantina, where you can eat overlooking the sand and sea. Or head out of the resort, turn right, and a few doors down you’ll find Adlib Café & Vinyl - gorgeous milkshakes, good food, and an easy, chilled vibe. In summary Nothing showy. Nothing overdone. Just a really well-run, peaceful place that does everything it should. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Unless of course we’re all trying to keep it a bit of a secret.

We have had a fabulous 2 week holiday at this beautiful resort. They welcomed us with petals on the bed and towels made into cute elephants as well as a bunch of flowers. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous it really is a peaceful oasis to relax in. There is never a problem with sun loungers there are plenty and the pool and beach areas are very relaxing. The rooms are immaculately clean including a turn down service at night. The hotel provides a beach bag flip flops and slippers for use during your stay. The attention to detail at this hotel is like nothing I’ve seen in any other hotel. They really have thought of everything to enhance your experience. The staff are exceptional, all friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We ate at both the Sala Thai and L Ocean restaurants and the food was amazing. Breakfast includes so many choices with seating outside so you can appreciate the view over the beach. It is a 10 minute walk to the fisherman’s village if you want a change of scenery. We had a pool villa which was very beautiful and spacious. When we were due to leave, we had an evening flight and the hotel gave us a late checkout so that we could enjoy our last day. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would love to return.

Wow what a beautiful hotel. We had a garden villa and what a stunning room. The maids who came to us were Joy and Miss Some, both were such beautiful souls and both made us feel really special. The hotel is immaculate and very well maintained. We had food in both restaurants and the attention to detail wowed us. Nic and Noc were also excellent staff members and worked very hard to ensure that we had what we needed. We did really appreciate the cold towels and fruit every afternoon, such a lovely touch. A short walk and in your in fisherman’s village. We will return next year.

The hotel was amazing. Every single member of staff whatever their role was were so polite and helpful. You are really treated so special. The hospitality, welcoming caring, tranquility, calmness, amazing food, beautiful rooms and gardens. It was just beautiful and to say it is just off a busy road and then you turn and enter into serenity. The Thai cooking course was wonderful. The hotel is right on the beach. Kayak and Paddle boards for hotel use.

This was our second visit first being 9 years ago still our favourite there’s nothing not to like. We stayed in a beautiful Garden Villa which was luxurious and well equipped. A huge bathroom and the comfiest bed and pillows. We were welcomed by lovely staff. Excellent breakfast in lovely surroundings the egg choice was excellent. Always a table with a beautiful view. Pool staff were so attentive and alway got us great shade for our pale skin nothing too much trouble with a smile. Joy was our maid for most of our stay she was just lovely a credit to the hotel as were all the lovely staff. Location is amazing a gorgeous beachfront and a 10 minute stroll from the vibrant Fisherman’s Village with lovely eateries bars and shops. The staff at Hotel Bo Phut are just the best and I would return in a heartbeat definitely my happy place. Thank you for making our stay so special once again Janice & Neil
