Bo Phut Resort & Spa

Stayed for 5 days after trekking around the mainland and we wanted somewhere to relax and chill - this was the place for us. Room - we had a garden room on the 1st floor, comfy bed, decent size room, good shower, good maid service, 4 bottles of water replaced daily, decent amount of hangers, robes, slippers i.e. everything you would want! 👍 Air-con had 3 levels and you did need it on throughout the night as it got hot. Food- breakfasts had a great number of selections, from UK, continental, Thai, variety of egg options all well cooked. Open 7-10.30am. Only had the club sandwich one lunch but it was a very good size. Didn't try the evening meals here. Pool- was lovely and well managed, clean and water was warm, towels lovely and covered all of the bed. No loud music, helpful staff if required, towels and fruit often brought around in the mornings. Lovely view of sea. Beach beds just below pool if required and sea water was lovely, some watersports available (didn't try). No need to get up early and save a sun bed either. 😀 Staff - all very pleasant and helpful. Market is very close as is the restaurants and shops, safe to walk about at night. The only minor negative was the costs of food & drink at hotel compared to outside (so most people went out to eat/drink). We appreciate they will be dearer but felt if slightly cheaper they would have sold by more). But still cheaper than UK! We got a shower room to use ahead of leaving, happily stay here again. This was our second time staying at Bo Phut Resort and Spa, and once again, everything was impeccable. Our first visit was three years ago when we stayed in the Garden Pool Villa, and this time we chose the Premier Pool Villa. Every detail of the room was beautifully thought out – spacious layout, luxurious bed, private pool, and fresh flowers throughout the villa. We were treated to daily fresh fruit, meticulous cleaning, and turn-down service. Just like our first stay, we felt like royalty and were incredibly spoiled. During our first visit, we befriended Eak at the L’Ocean Pool Restaurant, and while we were sad to learn he was on leave this time, Natty and Nok went above and beyond to take care of us from breakfast through to evening cocktails. (Natty, we’re sorry for bringing the rain again!) A special thank you to Atticha at the front desk, who was always available with a warm smile to help coordinate any excursions or navigate third-party bookings – truly invaluable when overcoming potential language barriers. The housekeeping team was also exceptional. Despite us occasionally lounging in the pool, they worked tirelessly with grace and big smiles to keep everything spotless. I only wish I had caught the young lady’s name to thank her personally. This trip was our honeymoon, and the resort went above and beyond to make it unforgettable – a personalized message in flower petals on the bed, a beautiful bouquet, and a bottle of wine on arrival. They even took a photo of us when we arrived at the villa and gifted it to us framed at the end of our stay – a keepsake we’ll cherish forever. The daily breakfast was a major highlight. A huge selection of hot dishes, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, and more. Don’t miss the Thai scrambled eggs with Prik Nam Pla and soy sauce – the most satisfying way to start the day! The Bo Phut area has evolved since our last visit, with new restaurants and the convenience of a Big C convenience store just a minute’s walk from the resort. The Fisherman’s Village Night Market is a must-visit, open several nights a week and just a 10-minute stroll away. The resort grounds are stunning – immaculately maintained, peaceful, and lush with tropical beauty. Words and photos simply can’t capture the magic of this place. We honestly didn’t want to leave and joked about chaining ourselves to a coconut palm in protest. Bo Phut Resort and Spa truly feels like a home away from home. The staff made us feel like family, and we are already dreaming about our return. Again and again.

Excellent Hotel. Hotel rooms are beautiful The setting is out of this world. It is super clean and attention to detail is outstanding. Staff are wonderful, very friendly, helpful and bring a lovely atmosphere to the hotel. Breakfast is also amazing with so much choice and the setting is just stunning by the beach. Pool area is just so relaxed. We cannot wait to go back.

We stayed in a Garden Villa which was wonderful and spacious. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the rooms very well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful in all engagements we had with them. The hotel is wonderfully located with the beach being just two steps down from the poolside - incredible. The staff provided us late check out and use of a courtesy room for free on our last day, which was greatly appreciated. This hotel deserves its highly regarded reputation. I can't see many reasons for this hotel not to be awarded 5* status. In comparison to the breakfasts we had previously in Anantara hotels before arriving in Samui, the breakfast here was not quite as varied or the food and drinks to as high a standard. Small improvements such as bar service to the beach loungers and an enhanced offering at breakfast would take this fabulous hotel from a 4* to a 5*, in my opinion.

We really loved our stay here. I’d thoroughly recommend it. It is so calm and peaceful. The service here is the best we’ve received. Everybody, without fail, were incredibly charming and helpful. The room was lovely, spacious & private. They were aware it was our anniversary and decorated the bed, bathroom and gave us a lovely bear as a keepsake. We ate breakfast every day. So much choice and it was tasty and plentiful. There was an egg station and he cooked our eggs to perfection every day! We had several lunches and they were all delicious. The service was sublime, While there is a sign saying no reserving sun beds the pool man was an angel and saved our favourite beds every day. The cold towels and fruit were lovely and given to those at the pool and on the beach. They are happy to serve drinks and food at the pool and on the beach. The pool was a perfect temperature and depth. The hotel is straight on to the beach. I loved being able to go in and out of the sea throughout the day. The location is perfect for restaurants with the Fisherman’s Village just a few minutes away. If you are staying in Bophut, you must stay here!.

This was our second visit to this delightful hotel and it didn't disappoint, Everything about the place is 5 star and above, however the friendliness of the staff, whether gardeners, cleaners, serving staff or management is totally exceptional. Great location, beautiful gardens, lovely pool area and super breakfasts. We hope to visit again next year.

Idyllic. An oasis of calm and sophistication 10 minutes walk away from the incredibly vibrant Fisherman’s Village. This is a special place to go on holiday, we have never been anywhere else quite like it. All of the hotel staff are on their A game. They could not have done any more to make our holiday exceed expectations .

My husband and I spent 10 blissful days at Bophut Resort and Spa in Koh Samui, and overall, we had a truly wonderful stay. The Positives: The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are immaculately kept, and the staff are consistently friendly and attentive. A special mention must go to Mia, who worked around the pool area. He took care of us every single day—bringing drinks, checking in, and always making sure I had shade as I don’t like being in the full sun. He was kind, thoughtful, and a real credit to the hotel. Lunch at the main restaurant offered a good selection of well-cooked dishes and tasty sandwiches. The room we stayed in was lovely, with a very comfy bed and everything just as it should be—faultless, really. We dined at the main restaurant on our first night and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. The reception staff were also incredibly helpful, especially in booking us reservations at nearby restaurants—they truly went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The beach at the resort is clean and picturesque—no complaints there at all. Room for Improvement: Our only real disappointment was with the alcoholic drinks—the cocktails didn’t taste like they had any alcohol in them. We raised this with the bar staff, and to be honest, unless we specifically asked for a double shot, the drinks just tasted like soft drinks. Also, the Thai restaurant on-site, which only opens a few nights a week, didn’t quite meet our expectations. We ate there twice, but found the food in Fisherman’s Village to be far tastier and much more reasonably priced. Overall: Despite a couple of minor letdowns, we had a fantastic stay. Being so close to Fisherman’s Village was a huge plus—it’s a vibrant area with an amazing choice of restaurants and bars, and we’d definitely recommend visiting as often as you can. The staff were all lovely, but Mia, our pool attendant, really stood out—he made our days by the pool extra special and deserves a heartfelt thank you.

This is a lovely hotel with every effort made to make sure your experience is the best it can be. the location is away from the bustle of Fishermen's Village, but close enough to stroll down there for lively bars and restaurants. The pool area is clean and with the beach backing on to the hotel with plenty of sun beds. Food at this hotel is excellent, from the lovely breakfasts serving multiple different fruits, cereals and a variety of freshly prepared egg dishes to the lighter lunches at reasonable prices, and a marvellous range of Thai dishes in the evening. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a garden villa which was well equipped and kept immaculately clean, even with a turning down service in the evenings. It's the kind, friendly and helpful staff which make this hotel a five star review award. From the moment we arrived to when leaving, it seemed like treatment for a royal guest! Most of the servers and the pool team were willing and indeed able to engage in near perfect English, and they all helped to give tips and share experiences of the Thai culture, weather and places to visit. A truly memorable experience!
