"Magical central location with stunning pool"

The setting, pool and rooms were all amazing. The food was delicious and the location could not be better.

In a downstairs room the noise of footsteps from above was very loud. In a period property with wooden ceilings this must be difficult so I recommend an upstairs room.

"A special place to treat yourself."

Relaxed old colonial atmosphere. Wonderful staff. It was great having a pool which is rare in Galle Fort hotels.

"Great location, good food and drinks but areas could do with some TLC"

Nice pool, food and drink good quality. Bar area has a nice area and the service overall was good. Nice decor in the bedrooms. Great location.

No fridge in room. Very thin windows so was woken up multiple times throughout the early morning as our bedroom backed onto pool. Bed super creeky. Decor in reception very dated, and could do with reupholstering and general TLC. Sunbeds plastic with no cushions. Rooms are nicely lit and furnished but the bath towels were old and quite small. Shower was a bit mouldy with residue build up.

"Good hotel, excellent central location, friendly staff and lovely Arak bar."

Room was lovely - so nice to have a split level loft room. Great location for a hotel.

breakfast was limited to one choice - whereas everywhere else we had stayed in Sri Lanka we had the choice of say muesli and an egg dish. it was however nice and we didn't go hungry.

Great location. Beautiful courtyard and front terrace. Tasty breakfast. Cool cocktails. Traditional tasteful decor. Air conditioning was welcome as Galle Fort was very humid in November.
