Beijing Hotel Nuo Forbidden City

A beautiful historical building with proximity to Wangfujing street (main shopping area). Staff were very efficient speaks good English and helpful. We had a wonderful 3 nights and will definitely patronize the hotel again when in Beijing next.

Beijing Hotel Nuo exceeded our expectations. Staff were fantastic and the hotel is very grand, much better in real life than in the photos. It has a classic old world charm. The cafe/bar downstairs is simply beautiful and would be perfect for a business meeting. Only criticism was the inflexibility of the staff to cancel a pre-ordered breakfast, well before hand once we knew we had an early flight. This was disappointing to an otherwise fantastic experience.

I was impressed with this hotel. Very centrally located and walking distance to tiananmen square and wangfujing street. The room was impeccable. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

The hotel is in a great location but could do with some renovations and refreshing. I called the operator several times and got no answer. Also my wife noticed a smell and what appeared to be smoke in the passageway - She reported it to the front desk - still not sure what the problem was. However the room was clean and tidy and breakfast good.

I love this hotel, super location, close to almost everything, the view is great.

Worth paying a little extra for : A Five Star hotel which boasts five star staff, especially Anais and the team. Nothing was too much trouble all staff treated guests as individuals and remembered us by name. We were made to feel like the most important guests in the hotel. A wonderful stay, excellent location, beautiful surroundings within the hotel and restaurants. Staff speak excellent English and are exceptionally helpful. Food both Western and traditional Chinese excellent - Afternoon tea is a must!

The location of the hotel is excellent... close to subway.shopping areas.museums..forbidden city Staff are very helpful and try to make your stay very pleasant....rooms are spacious and clean.... room service is excellent.... recommend it strongly

Excellent location, beautiful room and interior design

Great to be in a large heritage room of this historical hotel visited by heads of state in decades past. 10-year old child able to sleep well on sofa settee. Swimming pool was giant and beautiful and good for families. Terrific front desk service. Foot access to Wangfujing isnt as swift as it used to be, because street end of building leased to stores. Most of the good eating places are in the Wangfujing malls and beneath the bookstore. With building C of hotel closed, evening drink and dining options not as fabulous as before. Room faced inner court yard, which generated air conditioning system noise. Indetectable, though, if you use excellent air conditioning in room.
