Elba Castillo San Jorge & Antigua Suite Hotel

Property is in a great quiet location, short walk to centre and surrounding areas. Rooms spacious and very clean. Staff helpful and pleasant.

A Bed Bug Haven. I went to the property with my family. I was given a room which had pubic and head hair left of the previous guest in the bath tub.The microwave was smelling and had cups of tea left from previous guests. I complained to the Reception around 9 pm but received no response, Then I went to the reception and showed the pictures of the dirty apartment only to be told that I will not be able to move to a new room because other rooms are also unclean and also my room cannot be cleaned until the next day. We had the most tortutous night with a 3 year and 9 yera old child. In the morning, I was told that I cannot change my room and the room will be cleaned. I then sent an email to the Hotels Supremo whose name is Sergio Sampedro. I was finally given anothe room which again had ants in the kitchen area. I asked to meet the Supremo Sergio who maid me wait 30 minutes. I finally saw him and asked him to talk to me. He refused to acknowledge what I had to say and said that nothing will be done and refused to even look at the pictures or send someone to the room. They even refused to refund my money. I was forced to go back and clean the new room on my own. At night whilst sleeping,my children and I got up with red marks. there were bed bugs and yes actual visible bed bugs. With a 3 year old child, I called the reception only for no one to pick. We then slept on the floor. Please avoid this hotel

Lovely location,great staff and rooms cleaned daily

First time in hotel and impressed with room size and comfortable bed. Came with large group who all commented it was good hotel and well priced

We have stayed at the hotel numerous times over the past few years, so would normally know what to expect. Prior to arrival we had read that some hotels were lacking a little after covid as they were trying to cut costs. We were expecting the same, in fact the opposite would be more truthful, the hotel was at full capacity, but it didn’t feel busy, the staff are still as unbelievable as ever, nothing is too much. The rooms do look a little dated in places, but in the background a programme of upgrades are going on, so that will soon be rectified. The animation team are always fantastic, their energy is catching.

Los apartamentos eras muy cómodos pero le faltaba ventilación, ya que con tanto jardín si abrías las ventanas habían muchos mosquitos. En cuanto a la limpieza eran un horror, tuve que fregar toda la loza con lejía porque tenía restos de comida, la terraza no la pusimos utilizar de lo sucia que estaba. La animación se merece un diez. Tenían juegos muy chulos y eran un encanto con los niños. Fuimos sin pensión y no nos dejaban pagar en efectivo, me exigían abrir una cuenta en recepción para un simple café.

Hotel esta bien por el precio que se paga, camas comodas, cocina equipada, ducha buena, el trato del personal es excepcional.

We have stayed in a few places in this area and found this to be the best value for money so far. This was during the pandemic so not sure how prices compare to normal. Also there was obviously a focus on cleanliness so I cannot really say if this is normal. We were self catering so didn't use restaurant. Staff seemed friendly enough. Room was a good size. I would certainly stay again if it was within my budget.
