HOVIMA Jardin Caleta

Loved this hotel, I’ve never stayed in a 3 star so I was optimistic but we booked this as a cheap getaway with on the beach! Food was sooo good we were impressed with the wide range. Location was in the prettiest part on the south coast, out the way of the party area, but lots of beach bars and restaurants right outside. Beautiful views of the sunset from here. Beaches nearby were the most beautiful also. Rooms were huge, had a powerful hair dryer which is rare, little kitchenette and fridge, very clean and tidy. Only thing I’d personally add is a full length mirror for getting ready!

Not a bad hotel very good rooms however food wasn’t very good I’ve had better no choice for picky eaters however they stock your fridge in your room with drinks every day and bring you a little chocolate good over all

Avrei gradito sapere in anticipo quando il servizio in camera era stato sospeso.

Good location to the beach and restaurants

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. I lost a Stanley bottle from the breakfast table at the hotel, an item that, while not expensive, had significant sentimental value as it was one of the last gifts I received after a bereavement. What made the situation frustrating was not just the loss itself, but how it was handled. Over the course of four days, I had to repeatedly explain the situation to multiple staff members, day reception, night reception and floor staff, retelling the same story countless times. Communication between staff seemed lacking. I was told that floor staff had seen the item, but this was never clearly followed up by management. With limited Spanish, I found myself having to piece things together and effectively investigate the situation on my own. The hotel mentioned reviewing CCTV, but said it was too granular to distinguish a mug from a bottle, which raises concerns in itself. Eventually, after several days, I was offered a generic replacement water bottle, which felt like an afterthought rather than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue. While some staff members were kind and tried to help, the overall experience was exhausting and made me feel as though I was making a big deal out of nothing, when in reality this could have been handled much more thoughtfully, especially since the item went missing in a shared hotel space during breakfast service. I would not generalise about all staff, but the lack of coordination and empathy in resolving a simple issue left a lasting negative impression.
