Rooms super small

Very friendly and helpful staff( thank you Paula!). Good location, lovely lobby bar, modern setting, comfortable beds. Stayed for 2 separate single nights on either end of our travels. First night was a VERY small corner room, awkwardly shaped, little/no storage nor space to move around. Second night room was small but more space and adequate.

Our second stay at the Totem. Madrid did not disappoint - very lively. Mixed feelings about the hotel this time, given the increased price compared to our previous stay about two years ago. On the plus side, the neighborhood is beautiful and upscale and the location is convenient to a lot of Madrid’s tourist attractions if you are a good walker. Breakfast in the restaurant was a treat, excellent fruit and service. The bartender and the bell staff were accommodating as well. A nice boutique feel to the hotel. On the downside, the rooms, as others have noted, are small. For the price, really small. Little room to unpack; no drawers, just a couple shelves in the closet. No recognition of Small Luxury Hotel status - no upgrade, no treat or split of bubbly in the room, etc. Enjoyed our stay in the city but next time I think we’ll try the sister hotel Urso.

Lovely hotel in a great location in the heart of Salamanca. The rooms are good but a little on the small side. The staff are excellent but felt the a concierge would have been useful. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were just tiny and not a good place to hang out, there's no pool and it is really hot outside and there is no monuments anywhere so the only thing to do is eat and sleep. That is what we had to do when we went there. Good thing we brought some devices along to it!!

Great option in one of the best neighborhoods in Madrid. Stylish, modern. clean and chic. Surrounded by lots of restaurants and fancy shops. Near the Park as well. Definitely, would go back. (rooms a little tiny though).

Great area to stay in madrid

Amazing service and excellent location.

I put extra research into finding the Totem Madrid Hotel and I was not disappointed. I decided to find a hotel in a quiet but convenient location, with personalized service and a great staff. The Totem Madrid is a beautifully designed hotel in a smart neighborhood where we found some of Madrid's best restaurants. At the Totem you are also easy distance from the park, for walking/running/biking as well as a close ride to many of Madrid's best attractions. Special thanks to the hotel's restaurant staff which made breakfast a great way to start each day.
