Grand Rotana Resort & Spa

What a great hotel and overall experience. Staff - the vast majority were polite, friendly and efficient. There is always work going on around the complex, cleaning and gardening etc. special mention goes to the chef (always friendly and chatty) and his team in the Silk Road restaurant. Their level of service means we will come again next year. Room was very clean and spacious, we were in block 3. The pools and entertainment staff were busy and fun. The team in the sky bar did a great job of an evening. Food was varied and tasty. Only strange thing was there were no Christmas decorations. Most hotels we passed were decked out in lights, especially Soho Square. It’s very rare that we return to the same hotel, however, we will be booking the same week next year and look forward to returning.

**Cons / Areas for Improvement:** * **Animation Team:** I was asked for a review twice and even asked me to send them a screenshot, which I didn’t appreciate, especially since they didn’t contribute much to my stay. There is also no updated activity program for guests. The QR code doesn’t work, and they suggested sharing the schedule via WhatsApp ( it ideal). I only received one day’s program and it was inaccurate—an activity I went to was no longer on and they already started something different instead. You need to be near the amphitheatre to know what’s happening, which isn’t ideal if you want to relax (loud music, announcements) * **Bedding:** Mattress and pillow were quite hard for me, but that might be personal. * **Drinks:** Alcohol quality isn’t great, so cocktails don’t taste very nice. Mocktails, however, are excellent—stick to those! * **TV:** Very few English channels (mostly news). *** beach toilet needs to be cleaned more regularly. It was pretty disgusting both times I used it. **Pros / ❤️ What I LOVED ❤️:** * **Rooms:** Spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. Special THANKS to the housekeeper in Building 1, Floor 1 (stay 23–26 Nov) for doing a fantastic job. * **Food:** Delicious meals and fresh breakfast pastries every morning, with friendly chefs. * **Safety:** As a solo female traveller, I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed—highly recommended for other solo travellers. * **Staff:** Pleasant, respectful, not pushy for tips (which is refreshing). Around 90% of the staff are Russian, so Russian is the main language, but English was not a problem. * **Taxi Service:** Hotel-arranged taxi was professional, on time, and reasonably priced. * **Seaside:** Beautiful views and a lovely chill-out restaurant by the beach. You can choose between lively entertainment areas or quiet spots by the sea. * **Reef:** Absolutely amazing snorkeling—this was the highlight of the hotel for me. * **Gym:** Clean with friendly staff (though the rowing machine needs fixing). * **Facilities:** Very clean hotel overall, and great areas for families, couples, and solo travellers. Great hotel staff all excellent , great resort hotel/ complex with great private beach . Foods pretty good and a few al a cart jobs .room is nice facing the sea , highly recommend for some great late November weather 31 degrees. Not many brits about hotel full of Russians

Such a beautiful hotel! And the workers were so amazing, so welcoming and friendly. Rooms were spacious with everything you could need. Since the hotel is on the cost you have access to the Red Sea and can go coral diving whenever you’d like. Me and my family loved the food and staying here!

We had a lovely relaxing time at Grand Rotana.The staff is amazing ,exceptional and very helpful.Mohammad Mahmood a wonderful chef on the pasta live station prepared us some delectable seafood pasta. The reception team ,concierge team always at service. From the animation team Julia is worth mentioning for her enthusistic approach. We really enjoyed our activity with her.Very visible everywhere. And not to forget Ahmed the housekeeper in making our room spik n clean.People like these make a lot of difference in making a vacation stay worthwhile .
