Every day, I got lost trying to find my way back to my room because of the size of the resort. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are wonderful, the view is beautiful, and even the food everything was great thank you

I want to update my previous review and share how impressed I am with the way the hotel handled my concerns. After raising the issues I experienced, the management team reached out immediately and took full responsibility in a very professional and respectful way. They not only fixed everything quickly, but also made sure I felt valued and well taken care of during the rest of my stay. Their attention to detail, follow up, and genuine effort to make things right truly stood out. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what matters most is how a place responds and this hotel exceeded my expectations with their service recovery. I appreciate the hospitality and the dedication of the staff, and I’m happy to say that my experience was turned into a very positive one. I would definitely stay here again.

I am an Egyptian American who has spent half of my life in the United States working in hospitality for many years, so I understand very well what proper service should look like, especially working in a place that considers itself one of Washington State’s top tourist destinations. Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel has been deeply disappointing and, at several moments, outright offensive. From the start, I felt that some of the treatment I received from employees was different and negative, especially when speaking to them in the same language. The front desk was not smiling, welcoming, or showing any warmth. One example was at the restaurant entrance while welcoming other guests warmly, the hostess stared at us without a smile and refused to let us in, telling us to go to the extension area downstairs. We were told it was the same buffet, but later the chef at the BBQ section told us they were out of some items downstairs and that we needed to go back upstairs to get them. This was misleading and embarrassing. Later, around 4 PM, I went to the Italian restaurant for a quick snack. There were no servers around for a long time. When one finally arrived, it took over 20 minutes just to bring a menu—and only after I went inside to ask for it myself. The food arrived around 4:50 PM, after more than 40 minutes of waiting. This delay was extremely disrespectful, especially when I had plans afterward. The room situation was also unacceptable. Our original room was next to the AC room, and the noise and bad smell outside the patio were overwhelming. We requested a room change, which the front desk approved for the next day. But instead of handling the issue properly, they sent housekeeping to “spray” the room, even though we explained repeatedly that the smell and noise were outside, not inside. The housekeeper ignored us, insisted aggressively on entering, and didn’t listen at all. When we finally inspected the new room with a staff member, we agreed to move, but the room had a strong smell of pizza and hot dogs, like a fast-food kitchen. When we asked the front desk to have it sprayed, they suggested just opening the window and turning on the AC. I had to insist repeatedly before they agreed to treat the room properly. To make things worse, the bellman who helped with our luggage spoke with an attitude, made the transfer difficult, and refused to take our towel even though the towel key was attached to the room. He even called the front desk to take the towel away from us. When we finally settled in, the room still smelled bad, and the AC was blasting heat even though it was already hot outside. The level of disrespect, miscommunication, and overall lack of hospitality from multiple staff members throughout this stay is completely unacceptable. My friends, who visited from Egypt and had stayed here several times in the past, were shocked at how much the service has declined. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially as someone who works in hospitality and understands what good service should be.

1 - the place we were wasn’t like we had expected. We didn’t feel satisfied with the place and service. The atmosphere wasn’t exactly what we were looking for, for our vacation unfortunately.

Beautiful hotel and grounds Food was mediocre, eating experience was dreadful, brought back memories of my school canteen, being pushed shoved and bumped into and having to queue at the door until a table becomes available. By 9.00am every subbed on the beach part had a towel/ flippers/ book on them, even though they have a no reservation policy.

I travelled with my family and two small kids of 8 and 6. All family members enjoyed staying at the hotel, but I for the next trip I would probably choose something else.Hotel Location is quite close to the airport, with own beach side and amazing views and great facilities, very family oriented with kids room, games area, entertainment at evenings for both kids and adults. Special thanks to Alina who worked at kids room, every day was special with a new kids entertainment program and mini disco at nights was the favorite of kids 😍. Food was delicious with a variety of choice and local specialties. Very friendly personnel. Negatives: at nights people talk to laud at halls and that was clearly heard in room. Pillows and bed mattresses were too old and uncomfortable, bathroom was unclean mold at ceiling, spots on ceramic and a smell like someone peed around, though a cleaner was cleaning thoroughly every day. overall rooms require renovation. If renovated, I’ll definitely stay there again :).

We are just back from ten days at this resort - it’s great. Firstly the location is amazing - very close to the airport but very little air noise. It cost us £17 for return taxi booked before we arrived, 10 minutes to get to resort. The resort is very impressive, huge pool, great beach lay out and awesome snorkelling (this was the main reason for our resort choice). We used to go down early to get a front sun bed position but there’s usually some stones if go down later. Always loads of free beds by the pool. A massive shout out to the staff they are amazing, we tipped a small amount regularly. There is an atm in the hotel which issues small LE currency. The staff really deserve this and appreciate the thought. The Palms is great with an a la carte option which we used regularly for lunches. The rooms are spacious and clean - Ahmed kept our room spotless - 3005, great location. The dive centre is great - special shout out to William for organising three great snorkelling trip with an amazing captain and guide. The main restaurant does a great offering, breakfasts are excellent especially if you are friendly with the staff. The sky bar is good for an evening drink closing at 1pm with various live music and entertainment- some better than others. The UK are the minimum visitors - we had 20 of over 500 rooms - the vast majority of visitors are from Russia and are culturally very different from us. The animation team are focused on the Russian clientele and seemed more focused on getting us to write a review mentioning them than getting us included in events. Can’t imagine you’d get a better value for money resort anywhere and we would certainly return.
