Hotel Poza Blanca Lodge

The on-site restaurant was great, good food, great wait staff, and ambiance.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. We paid a premium expecting a relaxing, high-quality stay but were met with poor hospitality. The only person to greet us was a security guard who lacked any customer service skills. Despite being the only guests on the property that day, we were placed in the middle room directly above the restaurant where loud music played until 10 PM, completely inappropriate for a family with a young child. Meanwhile, our real estate agent needed a place to stay and came after us, paid significantly less and booked last-minute, received a beautiful room with a view directly from the owner. The lack of care and thoughtfulness was very frustrating.

We had one night. We arrived after a long travel, no electricity. So no airco. We think a resort like this should have a generator

The hotel itself is really nice and modern, the pool and jacuzzi were great and the Italian restaurant just amazing. Breakfast was very good, we tried the American version.

The check in experience was the worst ever. The guy felt really disengaged, we had to ask for everything, he gave us no information proactively, none. Oh, sorry, just that we had to pay 2 more breakfasts. The reservation was for 4, breakfast included, but he explained just 2 breakfasts were included, we had to pay for the others. I would have appreciated the transparency at booking. For this reason, we will not stay there again. I would always return for the food, though, when in the area.

Beautiful location with a lot of nature, comfortable rooms with good bed, airco and bathroom. Pleasant restaurant at the premesis.

The entrance is really closed between 20h and 8h, so make sure you combine with the hotel if you arrive outside those hours.

Very nice Stay - Grounds were beautiful, Pool was relaxing And the food was very, very good. I highly recommend the restaurants

The staff was super kind , the room was big and very comfortable. Both restaurants were really good. We enjoy the stay a lot !

Close to San José, surrounded by trees and a river.

The actual pool was small and looked old, the good news is they are building a beautiful new one.
