"Lovely stay in the San Mateo hills"

Wonderful two night stay. Hidden in the hills of San Mateo this is a lovely boutique hotel. The grounds are immaculate with a small pool and a cute playground for children. Our room was beautifully designed, well furnished with a small balcony to sit and enjoy the early morning or evening. The bathroom was large and included all the amenities of a top rated hotel. Breakfast was lovely and their morning coffee excellent. They have a restaurant but we did not eat there. Great location for a day trip to Jaco and the costal area or a stop on the way to La Fortuna. Enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

Great setting and lovely owner who made us feel welcome. Lovely shower and coffee Breakfast was good.

The restaurant was quite expensive and the only option whilst staying there. It was raining the night we were there, so we didn't get to try the pool or jacuzzi.

Breakfast was very yummy! Very fresh and delicious tipico Costa Rican food. And the waitstaff even broke out Nutella for our 5 year old son as a special surprise. Lunch and dinner were exceptional - some of the best Italian food we've had since being in Costa Rica.
