Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa

Beautiful Hotel spacious and bright. All the staff we encountered were lovely, polite and very friendly. Our room had a small balcony with a sliding door which was great to leave open as it was hot weather when we stayed. The bed was large and very comfortable. Our bathroom was clean and spacious and we appreciated the walk in shower which I had requested due to some slight disabilities my husband has. I appreciated our room was within distance of the reception and dining areas and we didn't have to use the lifts. Also I used the Spa facilities during our stay which was a lovely relaxing experience. All in all we really enjoyed our stay in Dunboyne Castle Hotel and would highly recommend.

I have to admit we were not a fan of the cooked breakfast. The bacon tasted cheap and was way too fatty. We didn't like the cooked sausages for the same reason. There was literally no taste of the scrambled egg and there was a strange taste of the mushrooms I don't know what they were cooked in but they were not nice at all. There was an excellent choice for breakfast and you could order of a menu if you wanted your eggs boiled or poached though I did order poached eggs for breakfast on one of my mornings but after waiting quite a while and finishing my breakfast I had to ask 2 more staff members and when they eventually came they were not that nice. On our last morning we ordered pancakes of the menu and they were delicious. All in all it was just the cooked breakfast that wasn't to our taste the rest cereals, overnight oats, smoothies, chia puddings and a great selection of fruit and pastries were all lovely. The menu in the Terrace could be improved also. We dined in the Ivy Restaurant and the food we got was delicious and would highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful terrace. Exceptionally helpful staff. When we had a problem with air con they sorted it straight away.

Room was very hot and air con needed sorting but everything else great.

Myself and my cousin went on a night away. Room was nice. Hotel was lovely. Food was lovely. We weren't able to use pool, even though the website said that we could. They were trying to get us to pay 25 euro in to use spa and pool. We have screenshot from website to say that the spa was separate. What made the weekend for us was Niamh on reception. She was a legend. Couldn't do enough for us. So helpful and recommended everything for us. So funny and kind. Perfect person to represent your hotel .would go back because of her i have to say 🌟

Second time to visit the spa and have a facial with Catherine. It was fabulous. Catherine is very friendly and knowledgeable. Makes you feel very comfortable and is a wonderful therapist. Looking foreward to seeing her again soon.

World class Spa facilities, & above my expectations for customer service and my expectations were high. Stunning grounds for leisurely walk after light bites in the bar . After our walk we went to our booking to use the Spa, not our first time in this amazing hotel but our first time being wowed by the Spa. Words can't describe the amazing Spa and its relaxing and rejuvenating facilitates, allow the photos try to describe the treat your in for. Massive recognition to Niamh on reception for going out of her way for an early check in, at late notice. Brunda in the Ivy restaurant was the star of the show, her recommendations and care for my dietary requirements went to a whole new level, genuinely caring and exceptionally attentive. We had a very early check out for our short drive to Dublin Airport the next morning and again upon checking out the gentleman offered us tea, coffee or water for our Journey. We missed the amazing breakfast experience we had on previous trips, the omelette is exceptional 👌. Overall a massive recommendation from us, big shout out to the entire team. Its clear the leadership values both guests and their team. Thanks from Trevor & James. We will be back time and time again.
