Cost of parking not included in the cost of our stay. Room small. No ironing facilities included although stated on booking

That the steam room has been out of use for more than a year now, and the swimming pool water looked muck and unkept

First morning Saturday was lovely cooked b/fast. Then on Sunday, no bacon, cold hard fried eggs, so much liquid in scrambled egg. Parking is good value.

Check out was frustrated. The bill listed items with in-house hotel codes. So room service turned out to be ‘bar’ and so on even the receptionist didn’t know blaming the system. Took 20mins for the receptionist to unscramble and decipher the account so we understood what we were paying for. Years ago as the old Savoy or Nottingham Moat House, reception was directly in front of the entrance. Perfect. Now a bench in the old lounge bar! It’s just a faceless, city hotel relying on passing trade.

Reception, restaurant and kindness of staff. Rooms on the whole.

Showers slow to drain with one having a call out to deal with blocked drain. Spa was tired and grubby.
