Mercure Nottingham Sherwood

Late check in was smooth, Staff were friendly, Rooms were spotlessly clean, comfy and had air con (we didn't test it as it want needed during our stay), Location is very central with easy access to the city, There is a surprising amount of parking for the locations and paying for it was easy at check in.

The covered parking area close to reception can be tricky to park in, narrow lanes and some inconsiderate parkers make the turning space limited, and pillars are in the way of some bays. It would have been easier to park at the rear of the hotel if we had realised there were more spaces there - driver error there :)

Good location and facilities

The room was very small and hot

Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice and good quality food each morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. My room was cleaned daily and kept tidy, and the hotel was easy to access with convenient parking.

The room was quite small, although it was sufficient for my needs. I was also disappointed that I couldn't connect the TV to the internet, which limited the entertainment options in the evening. I didn't get the chance to use the pool or gym facilities, so I can't comment on those.

Good facilities

The breakfast let my stay down. Cold, rubbery eggs. Cold bacon. Warm orange juice. Cold mushrooms. Dry bread.

Our room overlooked the car park and so we heard people leaving (there was some sort of celebration being held that evening),It disturbed my partners sleep.
