Lovely grounds and very friendly and professional staff. The rooms were modest and sound proofing was not great... The included breakfast was a bit sad. How can fruit not be fresh in Costa Rica same with watery coffee. Pool was nice and a good temp and all in the place was very we kept

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location for day trips in the area. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It had AC, a mini fridge and a safe (note that it’s very small; not big enough for a laptop). The outdoor pool was great — clean and refreshing after a day of hiking. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with lots of birdwatching right from our private porch. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the service was always warm and friendly. It was a 10 minute walk to town for shops and restaurants.

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Our room was clean and comfortable and spacious. The grounds are gorgeously landscaped with lots of bird watching opportunities. Great pool. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff. 5 minute walk into town for shops and restaurants. Super convenient spot for various day trips.

this property was really walkable to all the good restaurants/ coffee shops. also I was traveling solo as a female and Marcos, Vanessa and the rest of the crew were so helpful anytime I needed anything. I felt very safe walking to the property and had no issues getting a taxi if I needed one at any time of the day.

Amazing garden. Staff is extra friendly and ready at all times to serve and reply to your questions. We stayed for 3 nights and the location is perfect as it is within the nature and at a 10 minutes walk of the center where you will find a public park, the church, places where to eat and shop.

Though this is an older resort, the grounds are so very lovely. It is set up that the rooms are duplexes so only one room adjoining you. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a very nice pool though again not new but well maintained. There is a good breakfast not elaborate but what is served is tasty. And the staff here are so very pleasant and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone!

Staff weren’t very nice- they were rude.

The property is beautiful with lots of flowers palm trees and birds. I would love to come back and spend a week here. Wonderful place and la Fortuna is a place with lots of outdoor activities. Thank you Marcus for making our stay a great experience!

The hotel was extremely good value and the breakfast and grounds were amazing. So was the staff I found the bed quite uncomfortable though

This is a great place to stay. We have three teen boys and the friends + family room was great. The breakfast each morning was amazing- A wonderful way to start our day. Each morning we had coffee + tea, fresh juice, eggs, sausage, plantains, pancakes, potatoes, toast, carrots and fruit. The front desk staff was very helpful. I needed help finding transport to a tour and he called and set up a taxi service for us. It was quiet and peaceful with beautiful grounds. It was about 7-10 min walk to city center. I would highly recommend this place!
