DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport

Reserved a room, directly through Hilton. Guaranteed with a credit card. When I arrived (at 3am), the front desk clerk refused to honor my reservation. They had rooms available and were willing to rent me a (second) room at a much higher rate, but would not check me in to the credit-card guaranteed room. Spent half an hour on the phone with Hilton, who confirmed my reservation and reached the hotel clerk by phone -- while I was standing there. Hotel desk clerk told both of us -- me and Hilton Reservations -- to pound sand. We did so.

Would not take a shower as the floor was obviously dirty. Hotel smelled of dampness. Room furniture worn and old.

We love this location for staying prior to an early flight. Always friendly and clean.

I booked a last minute stay for a quick weekend and I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was excellent and the on-site restaurant had a great selection of foods to choose from for dinner. I would most definitely book another stay at this property in the future.

Disappointing Stay – Would Pass in the Future Unfortunately, this property did not meet expectations. The breakfast buffet was unappetizing, and the overall feel of the hotel was run-down. No room service was available, and basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner were missing from the room. On a positive note, the signature DoubleTree cookie was delicious — but sadly, that was the highlight. I’d pass on staying here again.

it was great parking was a bit difficult as there was a party or wedding. next day morning power went out had to go down 6 flights of stairs. it happens i know just grateful i want in elevators. Would have suffer a panic attack
