The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama

It’s a beautiful property with very helpful and friendly staff. They are all very attentive. As an older couple, we found the blasting music starting at 915 am and going on sometimes until 11 pm , obnoxious. There are a ton of young families , many with infants so many of the exclusive restaurants have kids running around and a lot of noise. Not exactly serenity but our suite and terrace with ocean view was wonderful .

Great location with fantastic facilities and nice beach nearby

Had a truly fantastic stay at the Ritz Carlton, the amenities were second to none and the choice of restaurants were impressive. The staff were really friendly attentive and helpful.

Overall a good experience, restaurant options were very limited though as most were closed, most staff were exceptional but a few were particularly rude mainly in Txoco restaurant. Upgrade to the retreat if you can, facilities are very good

The perfect beach getaway. Impeccable service and food. Spend a peaceful day at the beach club on Abama beach. William the beach tram driver is very friendly and informative. The whole beach staff is excellent especially Rolando & Bella. Dinner options were excellent from Michelin star restaurants to the elegant lobby bar where we loved the pizza. Xtoko by MB was our favorite but each restaurant was excellent and destination worthy on its own. The breakfast service was excellent. After a few days they knew exactly how we liked our coffee, omelettes, etc. A special shoutout to Rogelio, Ruth & Gabriel.We enjoyed 10 days and wanted to extend our trip. We will definitely be back

This property is probably the best we have ever stayed at. The quality of service is totally exceptional - the ethos of going the extra mile epitomises the brand of Ritz Carlton. They could never do too much from the bed turning down vservice to giving so much more. As it was our anniversary they made our room up with rose petals, a cake, bubbly and so much more. We had a truly exceptional stay. As it was also my birthday they made a wonderful gesture providing cake, wine and so much more. We are definitely returning to our now favorite location.

I had a wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton. The food was excellent, the views were beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the experience was truly enjoyable. The only issue I experienced was at the El Mirador restaurant when ordering a café latte. Although it is clearly listed on the menu alongside café macchiato, I was first given a latte macchiato, then an espresso macchiato, before finally receiving the correct drink after showing a picture. This was surprising, especially since I had no problem ordering the same drink earlier during my stay. For a property of this standard, I would have expected more consistency in service. That said, everything else was excellent, and with a bit of clarification or staff training on menu items, this would have been a perfect stay.

The good - our room was large, housekeeping is very good, bathroom is huge, shower water pressure brilliant. Great service at the main bar, and the people at Veranda were very welcoming and friendly. The not so good - attention to detail is lacking. Some examples: One morning the jug with milk for coffee had lemons floating in it - how does that happen? Surely they check the jugs are clean before filling with milk? Umbrellas around the swimming pool are ripped, I'm told new ones are on order, but it's not acceptable. The only toilets at the swimming pool were closed one day, and then had no electricity the following day. When I complained and said it wasn't acceptable, the staff member just said ' I agree with you'. In brief, not what you would expect from a 5* hotel.

Amazing! All staff were friendly and professional And the service was top notch. Beautiful room and the whole resort was very clean. A choice of several restaurants , all fabulous.

Spent 4 nights and 4 days this past week with my mother. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world but I have never come across such friendly staff members anywhere else. Every single person from front desk to restaurant staff to staff around the resort had a smile on their faces and said hello every single time. Its little things like this that mattered and made the whole trip enjoyable for my mother and I. Thank you again.
