The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama

Beautiful location, great facilities but service was not reliable. Also we were not able to go to all the restaurants that we wanted to go because they were booked up more than a week before our arrival.

Best place to stay.

This hotel was amazing- would definitely go back! From the moment we arrived the staff were smiling and helpful, organised, accommodating and working to make our holiday great. There was such a variety of food in all the restaurants and there was also a choice of really fine dining vs more relaxed well run restaurants. The breakfasts were outstanding with anything you could think of on the menu and more! The pools were beautifully kept and the weather made them even more enjoyable. The beach was a sweet trip down the hill in a train and there was a cove with beautiful cool water and warm sand with staff on hand to pamper you or let you order your own lunch , drinks etc. Amazing hotel all round!

Choose this hotel if you want to have the worst experience ever! Cockroach in the room everyday, spiders and other insects. No reaction from the management except saying that it happens... The floor of the swimming pool is damaged, very dangerous for kids. You need to ask several time people to get something to the room otherwise you don't get anything Excessive price around the pool for poor quality and services (6€ for a 33cl coke can...) Horrible smell all around the hotel as manure is used for banana trees around the hotel Does not deserve 5 stars at all

The only problem is the smell from banana plantation and no shuttle from the airport

Overall a wonderful stay. The staff were incredible and went out of their way to help. Our only criticism is that it’s very young family friendly and at times, the young children were quite disruptive, particularly at meal times. I’d recommend that there are family eating times in the restaurants so that it’s less disruptive for other guests.

Just WOW! We have come here twice, once is November 2024 and August 2025. Every time has been an amazing experience. The staff are lovely and attentive. If you love golf, this is the place to be as it looks over the Abama Golf Course. The golf course is stunning, one of the best courses I have played! Ritz Abama has a many pools, great restaurants and shops on site. See you in 2026 ☀️

The entire staff was friendly and helpfull. A very big thank you for Claudia from the Beach Club. She was very prompt and friendly for any require we had. At some point we need some additional assistance for my husband who didn' t feel well. She was very to help.

Our stay from start to finish was incredible. I truly have no words. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and we would do it all over again. Thank you to the entire staff during our stay for making it memorable and special. We plan on being back in the foreseeable future!
