Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel

Great location for family wedding next to the Cathedral. Wedding reception was great. The restaurant was great.

Rooms were far too hot as hotel reception said the “air con was not working in the whole building” and advised to use a small fan in the room. Also unable to open the window. Very uncomfortable sleeping conditions which ruined our stay. (It was only 18 degrees outside). There was also a lot of noise from the street on the Saturday night. Room service food items left in corridors all day, and rooms inadequately prepared (no kettle, tea and coffee, no tv remote control). Also poor value for money when you add on cost of breakfast and overnight parking.

This hotel is very central, great location and the parking facilities were fantastic. A grand hotel with luxury facilities.

I would have preferred a view

The architecture and style of the building (internal and external) and the location was fantastic for access to the places I needed to be. Having a secure car park was a real bonus. The staff were very helpful and professional.

The air conditioning wasn't working - to their credit, the staff had placed fans in the rooms - however it was difficult to get to sleep due to the heat

The room was spacious, breakfast was enjoyable. I was attending a conference and the conference space was good.

The air con in the room was not working. Our room was on the lower ground floor so we could not open a window. We have an 11 month old baby and it was too hot to sleep safely. It was a very bad nights sleep.

Excellent location, outstanding staff, great facilities, comfortable rooms. Everything you’d expect from a four star hotel. Building is beautiful throughout. Wish I could have stayed longer. I travel extensively and have stayed in many four star hotels, this is one of my favourites.
