The Pearl South Pacific Resort, Spa & Golf Course

this is the unfriendly Fiji hotel, staff at interested in their jobs, the charges are much higher compared to other similar hotels in the area. avoid if possible.

Secluded and peaceful.

Prior to booking we had notified of our dietary requirements. Sadly, upon requesting our meal post checkin we were told most things can’t be done - and only options were stir fry and fried rice - which you get bored eating after a few days! Luckily The Establishment (restaurant across the road) catered to our needs and looked after our brunch and dinner.

I love the location for scuba-diving with the sharks, it’s next to the beach. Also have the marina. Great for a quiet getaway, read books and sunbathe. Not much else to do close by, but Good for sun bed and cocktails with a sprinkle of scuba-diving.

Service did take a long time, but apart from that nothing to complain about staff was great very kind and helpful. Good pool, by the ocean and scuba-diving on the doorstep. Scuba-diving crew at the resort was brilliant, look after you and you feel safe in their hands when diving the sharks.

There were no hand towels and hand wash. And whoever cleaned the rooms did not bother to empty the toilet bin plus did not replenish the toilet paper or the other items hand towel and bath mats and soaps. We had to ask but still no hand wash and hand towel throughout our whole stay. There was a musty odour every time we entered the room. The car park facilities are ridicules and limited and unsafe. The buffet breakfast was boring and pastries were not cooked well. The selection was mediocre and had no taste

Clean and tidy rooms, very congested street with hardly any parking, dining area had cigarette smoke from nearby hotels

They don’t change the towels if you don’t ask for it or go to the lobby

Our stay overall was good - the main reception, housekeeping, and most restaurants staff were welcoming and helpful. However, a few staff had attitude issues that really need to be addressed. The $100 Expedia guest voucher was also a disappointment - it wasn’t clearly explained, and I was sent back and forth trying to use it. The boutique shop was not open on time, please a 10am is not 10:45am and in the end, I was told it could only be used at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I couldn’t redeem it at all, which left a frustrating end to an otherwise pleasant stay.
