Thunderbird Motel

Perfect for an overnight stay while in transit. An older motel with small rooms but clean and comfortable. Pleasant helpful staff.

I really enjoyed staying here. The furniture is outdated and has some scratches but it’s unique. I could tell the locks on the door were new, which made me feel safe as a single woman. I’ve paid more and received less at national chains. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean, staff was friendly. They were working on updating I think.

Dead roaches on the bathroom floor and on the carpet. A dead bug on one of the beds. Dirty carpet. Very uncomfortable beds. Rust all over the door knob. Have stayed at many other motels, but this one was one of the most disappointing.

Air conditioning was not all that great. No coffee in room

We always stay at this motel when traveling through the area. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. My only suggestion is to have coffee maker in the room.

Is it the same place that all these reviews are about? I never saw a Stan or a Donna. The people I saw at check in and check out were nice enough but not the people mentioned in the glowing reviews. Though I stay in a variety of hotel types, I love the park at door, mom n' pop types - and why I chose the thunder bird - that, and the reviews. I'm not picky, especially when it comes to bare bones budget inns but our room in the corner was shabby. I guess it was clean enough, but it is falling into disrepair and it was freezing inside - way colder than it was outside. The heater sucked so we stayed cold for several hours. Couldn't open the door or the tumble weeds would blow in. Bed was clean and sorta comfortable so our experience was not a total loss - still dissapointed.

This is such a gem. Exactly what I needed, when I was passing through town. Reasonably priced, clean, and simple. And the owners were so kind and welcoming. Will definitely stay again if I have the chance.

Stayed here passing through on a motorcycle trip out West. Motel is clean and comfortable and the owners are very nice and accommodation. Close to attractions and food. I would recommend and will stay again when coming through.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed it. Comfy beds, conveniently located, super clean, and very friendly staff. Motel manager offered suggestions on local things to do which we appreciated. Reasonable rates. If in the area again, we'll be visiting The Thunderbird.
