"general comments"

8.0

The hotel location is close to Plaza San Martin which is good but a significant walk to Plaza Mayor where the Cathedral and other primary sites are located. The restaurant is open for lunch & dinner but the menu is limited, English was definitely at 'second' language and the service was sometimes slow. Aside from the restaurant issues, we thought the hotel was a good value.

"right downtown. close to everything"

6.0

Right downtown so that's good but it's not the safest place to be. There's a lot of people who get robbed in the area so you have to be careful.

"Value for money"

8.0

Hotel is in downtown Lima. Room have carpet flooring, window, centrally AC (though dont know if it worked as while I stayed there weather was already very very cold & did not need AC). Breakfast was better than some other Hotels I stayed in as they served 2 juice, tea, coffee, Milo, hot milk, 2-3 types of breads, butter, jam, salads, cheese, fruits while some others are poor in breakfast. Staff is supportive though the 1st day I asked for a taxi & they called some private taxi who asked too high charge thinking I dont know about it. When I negotiated saying I know what the charge it they reduced it by 30%.

"Value for your money"

8.0

First of all thr negative: Definitely the location of this hotel is lousy, and everything is old since the hotel is several decades old. Definitely not the place for someone arriving to Lima for the first time. It is close to the best of downtown Lima but the surrounding streets are dangerous but this can be solved by making a cab pick you up or using the parking garage and taking your own car. Rooms are noisy due to heavy street traffic, rooom views are not inspiring at all. However the positive aspects which make it a good deal: *Great Price *rooms are very clean *beds are very comfortable *lots of closet space and hanging areas *closets are provided with extra pillows and matresses *even though amenities are simple, they are newly replaced daily *the breakfast buffet even though it's small it varies everyday (I stayed 4 nights and it was never the same) *staff are very polite, friendly and helpful *the wifi connection is acceptable and works fine *rooms are huge I judge hotels in the basis of two basic aspects: bed comfort and food and both here are great, the rest are not that important. Since prices here are very affordable it turns out to be a great deal. Definitely it is a good option if you wish to save money or if you come in for business purposes and need to stay close to downtown, or if you only need the hotel for a good night's sleep. I will definitely return and do recommend it.

"A good deal for the cost."

6.0

Staff were friendly, especially the reception staff. The welcome drink was very welcome. Good early breakfast. Allow 30 minutes for taxi to airport. Hotel a little run down and in a seedy part of town. We were woken in the middle of the night by a couple shouting at each other in the street below. Good value overall.
