room a good standard, eventually - see below

I booked and paid for a double room on 8th April 2026 (booking reference 5804672496) On arriving at the hotel on 13th May (5 weeks after the room was booked and paid for) I was told they could only offer a twin room as no double rooms available. I told the staff on reception this was totally unacceptable as I booked and paid for a double room 5 weeks earlier. To have no double rooms available on my arrival was shocking and unprofessional. It was only when I made these points they offered me an available double room - I was bemused why they initially stated they could only offer a twin room when a double was available - as per my booking and payment.

Peter on reception gave great customer service and was extremely helpful

I had booked late check out till 1pm and at 9:30am roughly house keeping banged on the door and let themselves in. I then advised I was still in the room. Again at 11:45 roughly, they just let themselves in this time and did not knock, again I told them I was here until 1pm. There needs to be a better system and more respect for customers
