Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi

The staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The choice of food was wide - Indian, Thai, Japanese and Western - and delicious. The portions were good value too. The monkeys were entertaining but it was important to keep the additional catch on the door to keep them out of your room! Having the buggy service was a plus.

Property could use so renovation but you can’t beat the views from the pool.

The hotel is not clean at all, and the staff doesn't know how to provide proper service. It's also very far from everything.

All good at our end. Nice location. We had a very relaxing vacation, and will visit again. Trips around the islands is very accessible and the ferry to Krabi is always available.

I highly recommend Centara Grand Resort at Krabi. The resort location is perfect. The staff members are amazing, very friendly and service-oriented. Food is delicious and varied. The premises and facilities are extremely clean and very green. The scenery around the resort is breathtaking!

Very good service. The food there was good, but very expensive. Airport prices all over the place. You could see that some parts of the hotel was worn down. But very good breakfast, service and the place is incredible.

The hotel is isolated from the rest of the island and can only be accessed by boat or the Monkey Trail. The boat schedule is terrible: mornings at 6, 8, and 10 AM, with the last boat leaving the hotel at 6 PM. Returning is also inconvenient, with boats only every 1.5 hours—the pier is dark and somewhat unsettling for those alone at night. The worst part: I asked at reception why the boats bringing people to the hotel until 11 PM, and then making the return trip to the pier, refused to take passengers. The receptionist, Blossom, was rude, unpleasant, and had a terrible attitude. Her behavior was completely unacceptable. We have the option to use the Monkey Trail, but to reach it, we have to pass through poorly lit areas where no one is around. It takes about 15–20 minutes of climbing up and down very steep wooden staircases. It is not safe and can be dangerous for children and the elderly. The rooms are old but acceptable. However, we must always keep the windows completely closed because monkeys constantly enter the room and steal whatever they can. The hotel uses an app for communication with the reception. On the first day, I requested that they fix the blinds, but they never did. I asked for something to kill mosquitoes, but they never responded. I requested an ironing board, and it took 9 hours to arrive. They took the towels for washing and forgot to replace them with clean ones, and the toilet got clogged.

Amazing place to stay, totally relaxing and spectacular environment with fantastic dining options to cater all needs. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much for them. Great food throughout the restaurants, particularly great experience at the teppanyaki table where the chef was amazing!

The location is the real star of this hotel. It is on its own separate beach away from Ao Nang and the crazy boat traffic. Outsiders are allowed in as well, but it is not overly saturated with people. Most don't want to walk on the Monkey Trail to get there or don't know that it is open to the public. The setting really is one of the nicest I've ever been at and the beach is in really good shape. The issues I had with the hotel really focus on the upkeep or maintenance. There were several things in the rooms we had that should have and could have easily been fixed. Our kids room had a leaky ceiling and water came down into their room one night. The service was fine, not overly helpful if you have an issue, but it I don't really have much to complain about it. I had to ask for some kind of compensation (i.e. they didn't offer it on their own) for the leak ruining some of my son's items in his bag. It's really the best place to stay in Ao Nang as a base as it is semi-private but you can still walk to Ao Nang beach.

Still here . Checking out a day earlier as spending another day at this resort would be unbearable. It may once have been a great resort however depending on the standards one may be used to it does not deserve even 1 star. Even the staff agree. This was supposed to be a relaxing 3 nights prior to heading back home . Needed to leave so it does not tarnish what so far has been an amazing time in this country . Please stay away from!!!! It’s like escaping from Alcatraz! Can’t wait to be on the 8am boat out of hell.
