Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi

I loved this place from the moment the lingtail boat got to the jetty. The outlook is simply amazing. Privacy but not feeing secluded. The monkey trail was steep but took us 10muns to walk. Then easy to grab a tub tuk to explore ao nang. (Markets awesome) or book the complementary boat to the pier. Food at the resort was pricey. Only negative really. We had our wedding here and it was flawless. Plus they gave us a room upgrade and wow just wow. Would come back

Hotel is getting old and needs renovation and the service from staff and waiters was not the best. Amazing location and good pool facilities.

Great location, fabulous hotel, friendly staff, lovely food, easy to access Ao Nang, transfers to and from the airport organised with no issues, all in all a terrific holiday

Our experience at this property has been a mix of great location and friendly service, but with a few challenges along the way. Check-in had a bit of a hiccup. We had booked a king room but were initially assigned a double-double instead. After some discussion with the front desk, they confirmed our reservation was indeed for a king room. While none were available at first, they worked to find a solution and eventually moved us. They even considered it an upgrade, as this room included a jacuzzi on the balcony. Though it felt a bit smaller than our original room, we appreciated their effort to accommodate us. Unfortunately, this room had issues with the restroom flush, so we had to be moved again. Thankfully, the new room was really nice, with amazing views that made up for the inconvenience. The property itself has a charming feel, but it’s very outdated and in need of serious maintenance. That being said, the location is absolutely stunning, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is decent, though not exceptional. Overall, the beautiful surroundings and welcoming staff give this place a lot of potential. With some much-needed updates and better upkeep, it could be a fantastic experience.

The most disappointing awful experience of my life!!! My family business is hotels we have 4 hotels in Dorset UK 🇬🇧. Three of which are situated in Sandbanks Dorset. We were returning to Krabi a place i lived for 4 years in my 20s - now 50 years old and a few years prior, we had stayed at The Rayavadee a beautiful 5 star hotel, but this year it was fully booked. We booked our holiday via Expedia. Who agreed to refund us 9 out of of 11 nights booked, but are now going back on this and stating they won’t refund us !!!! SHOCKING!!! The hotel states it is 5 star I would rate it a 3 star - on arrival at the boat transfer the engine failed and we had to wait around after travelling for 14 hours with our young son. On arrival at the hotel itself, we were poorly greeted no water no real welcome. We were shown to our room It was dirty unclean. The shower was filthy rusty taps covered in limescale. The bath stained The furniture was old and very worn out. The room was dusty and very dated but worse just unclean!! Mini bar not fully stocked with broken glass at the back behind the plastic kettle. A rusty broken empty hot tub was on a very perilous balcony with marked filthy sun lounges - a view of a generator with a glimpse of the sea did not fit the deluxe sea view room. We feel were mis led and mis sold what appeared to be a luxury hotel. The grounds of the hotel were littered we took photos of smashed plates and a build up of rubbish in places. The service at breakfast was appalling I had to stand in a queue for 5 mins to get a poor quality coffee then there were no actual coffee cups !!! The food was poor quality and service non existent! We complained immediately….. Whilst my husband was speaking with the hotel manager I walked around and have taken a lot of photos to back this ALL up! The pool was dirty the kids slide was worn and chipped with a rusty nail poking out! Nothing in this establishment was organised clean or at all as marketed in the promotional photos to entice customers. I would STRONGLY suggest not booking or staying at this hotel unless you are expecting a very poor standard but at the prices they are selling rooms and packages for it is in my option day light robbery! THE MOST AWFUL experience I’ve ever had in a hotel - as said I grew up in hotels with my family owning hotels on the stunning beaches of SANDBANKS DORSET UK 🇬🇧 Disappointed doesn’t even come close it was DISGUSTING!!!! BE WARNED ‼️🚫❌

This resort sits inside a national park

Sadly we booked a non-refundable hotel stay and they don't tell you up front that their property is only accessible by boat or you need to hike over a hill with stairs to the town. When it's super hot and humid - it was incredibly uncomfortable. What good about this property: 1. The location is super beautiful. You will see monkeys. 2. If you don't want to go anywhere else, you don't have to due to the amenities. 3. The food is pretty good. I think we enjoyed every meal there. 4. The entertainment 5. Friendly staff Now for the bad things: 1. If you enjoy exploring the nearby towns when you travel and don't like hiking in 92F with high humidity for 20-25 to get there - you won't like this place. The path was very crowded at times. People who don't stay at the resort walk over the path to stay at the beach. When they all leave after the sun sets - the resort is much more pleasant. 2. The service is not 5 star. No turn down service and at breakfast you have to seat yourself which can be a bit crazy since the tables aren't cleared quickly so you don't which ones are open. 3. The beds are very hard 4. Toilets didn't flush well 5. Shower temp was not consistent. It fluctuated from hot to cold 5 times in 5 minutes 6. Food is expensive - same price as California 7.the AC seems set at one very cold temperature so we had to keep shutting it off to manage it. 8. Rooms aren't sound resistant - the workers talking in the path outside our room woke us up. 9. no black out shades.

Great hotel and location, but the hotel needs a facelift. Rooms are old, many defect things, very dark bathroom.

The location was beautiful, truly stunning beach and lush tropical jungle all around, but the resort itself was not in good condition. I booked due to its 5 star rating and it was more like a 3 or 4 star hotel as far as the facilities and rooms go. Things were shabby and in ill repair, some things in our room were falling apart on arrival like the blinds a the sliding glass door nearly fell off. We still had a nice time but definitely felt misled by the rating and paid too much for the over-all quality of the place.

We had an amazing stay at Centara Grand in Krabi! The resort was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking scenery that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the most unique aspects was that it’s only accessible by boat, which gave it an exclusive and secluded feel—perfect for a peaceful escape. We stayed in an oceanfront villa, and it was fabulous! The room was spacious and well-appointed, and we especially loved the private plunge pool. A special touch that meant a lot to us was the lovely honeymoon decoration they left for us—such a thoughtful gesture! While our overall experience was fantastic, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. We requested someone to check our mini fridge a few times, and though we were told someone would come, no one ever did. Additionally, the restaurant service was a bit slow—we often had to flag down the waitress to get our tab, as we weren’t checked on regularly. That said, the beauty of the resort, the exclusivity, and the luxurious accommodations far outweighed these small issues. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning and tranquil getaway in Thailand!
