Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Super friendly staff, but the room and location (view) was off the charts! Pictures can’t explain the beauty here. You also get monkeys (spectacled langurs), one outside our room and 4 in a palm tree next to us during breakfast this morning! We also got elephants made out of towels and flowers when we came back from Phi Phi Island! I love this place!

HORRIBLE!! STAY AWAY!! This is at best a 3-star. Worst experience. Please don't get scammed by theproperty pictures on the website. We arrived at 3 30 pm from Phuket expecting the room to be ready. The usual checkin time is 3 pm. We were unable to get a room till 5 20 pm. The staff was very confused and were giving me conflicting reasons for the delay, one said the room wasn't clean and it's getting ready, the other said there's been a mixup. Overall, the lobby didn't have any AC and we were left sweating at 90F. To top it off, we ordered food and drinks at the beach restaurant and the waiter forgot to send the order back to the kitchen and we were waiting for our food for one hour. Then, after followup from my end, they realized this and the waiter who messed it up was giving us wierd reasons like the chef couldn't understand his language etc. Overall, this was a horrible experience for us.

A picturesque piece of Ao Nang way past it's prime. The highlight of this property definitely has to be the views and where the property is located. It is truly breathtaking. Unfortunately, the property was probably incredible in it's prime, but that time is long gone. Our room was old and not maintained well. Parts of the room were falling apart and in bad condition, shoddy workmanship was done to repair some issues, and the AC made an annoying drone that made it difficult to sleep. The pool, although large and with a slide, was dirty with algae and the plastic beach chairs were on the brink of breaking. The food is unimpressive at the Coast restaurant and the breakfast buffet. But, one of the biggest disappointments was the Chinese and Japanese buffet that we had to pay 1,900 bhat each for. Truly a waste of money. They had a raw bar, which didn't match the theme at all and I'm sure took most of the budget. The choices of japanese and Chinese food were very limited and not impressive at all. We left the buffet very disappointed. The Thai restaurant was not bad and we didn't dine at the Japanese restaurant. We received massages at the spa that we really enjoyed. Another issue with the property is that to leave the property you either had to walk the monkey trail, which is a bit of a trek (forget it if you're in heels) or you had to take a boat to the pier and get transportation from there; not convenient at all. Overall, I would not recommend staying at the Centara Grand.

It is a very nice and secluded location. The views from hotel are amazing. Here are the negatives: The location is hard to get to. The hotel provides scheduled boat service from Nopparat pier. The boat service needs to be prebooked Aoonang pier is closer and has a lot of activities (beach, reataurants, bars shopping), but hotel doesnt provide boat service from there. There is a 15 min walk from Aonang to hotel using steep wooden stairs, but its can be tough especially during night and rain. I saw a person fall down the stairs. Even the hotel staff have to use this trail late in the night. Its terrible that hotel doesnt provide them a boat drop off service. Hotel rooms could do with some upgrades and breakfast buffet could do with some improvements

The workers are friendly but needs more training. The hotel situation is quite deteriorating it’s needs a serious work

Beautiful resort on an amazing western facing point. Jungle meets the ocean! A little pricey for food and beverages on property, but everything was very good. Looking for a peaceful, easy, vacation spot. Its great!

The location and idea of this secluded property is what enticed us to book our stay, however unfortunately the hotel has not been looked after as you would expect from a well known brand. Many areas are crumbling or need renovation to maintain the 5* and price of this hotel. It could be amazing. The room was lovely, but again seeing a lot of wear and tear, water fluctuated from boiling to freezing in the shower, TV didn’t work, one of the blinds broken. The sunloungers were very old and there was a Smelly stream running through the resort. We had a nice time, but for the price we paid I had expected better quality.
