Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi

I had a terrible experience here right from check in. Poor communication. The staff had us sitting there for 45 minutes before he told us the room was not ready. The facility Must have ran out of face cloths and hand towels as we didn’t not have any for our entire 3 day stay despite asking multiple times. Getting to your room is a hike. The golf carts for transportation weren’t available ever for 20 minutes. The amount of money we paid for this hotel did NOT match what we got. Would not recommend this place to anyone

The view is unbelievable, and the monkey trail was so cool. But that’s really it. The rooms need a touch up seem a little outdated. The food and drinks were just simply subpar. It felt like we were paying for all-inclusive quality, but had to pay out of pocket for each meal and drink; which is fine but the quality should then be better in my opinion. Also, the shuttle boat takes you so far out of the way when in reality you just need to go to Ao Nang right where the monkey trail lets you off, so you have to take a cab where the boat leaves you off. The staff were of course friendly and helpful.

It was a nice property to get away. It is a little older but they looked to be always working on the maintenance and upkeep. You are alone with no other properties or town near by unless you take the monkey trail over to the town around the mountain. Lots of steps / steep steps by very manageable. Make sure to double check any reservations that you might make to be sure they were made properly, we had a couple that were not correct and must have been lost in translation. Jeff at the front desk did a nice job.

Overall the stay was great. Only negative is that there is no late checkout.

Everything was GREAT! Getting familiar with the boat and pier schedule is helpful because walking monkey trail everyday could get tiring. The breakfast buffet was good too but unfortunately I got food poisoning from a pork plate that was being served.

Very nice resort with a beautiful beach and surroundings. Food and drinks too expensive though compared to Ao Nang.

If you are looking for a quiet break with stunning views, this is perfect

This hotel is beautiful! Definitely the grandest in Ao Nang with cliff views from the beach. My husband & I came here on our honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel room, overlooking the cliffs and ocean, and beach/pool area was great to relax at. The room itself is very nice as well and the shower was great. The pools and beach are very well kept. The breakfast was amazing. It had such a huge selection of breads, international foods, and juices. We only had a few dislikes 1. The hotel food and drink is extremely overpriced, and is not good. We could not fathom the price of anything there. Everything is basically 4-5x the price of anything else in the rest of Thailand. Sadly, we were so appalled by the prices we could not bring ourselves to spend any money there on anything other than the hotel room we had already paid for. Luckily we were able to take the monkey trail every day for food. 2. The romantic dinner was right in the middle of their beach, in front of a ton of people, and was not private whatsoever. I had booked online before visiting the hotel and the moment I got to the hotel and realized where it was located on the beach, I was very disappointed. For the very high price, the food wasn’t good either 3. The shampoo had the same effect on my hair as dish soap and they had no conditioner. Overall, great stay though! We loved the beachfront view from our room and the hotel is in a good location right on the other side of the monkey trail in Ao Nang.

Amazing location on a gorgeous private beach surrounded by 200’ limestone cliffs, with plenty of dining and shopping opportunities just on the other side of monkey hill. The property is starting to show its age as it is getting ready to go through a major overhaul, but the rooms are large with great balconies and amazing views.
