Easy booking in. Nice and clean. Breakfast tasty.

Paying extra £10 daily for parking on top of booking even with a disabled badge in car. So left our car at party venue and got taxis to and through saving over £10. Was please we was on ground level but after a long walk to room right to end of several corridors!!! not helpful with a disabled person with COPD. Lessons learnt if we ever stayed again. Must add to be fair we have stayed in this hotel several times over many years and have always had a please stay.

The hotel itself is lovely .. but few improvements in the rooms ..very basic not enough plug sockets to charge phone ..none by the bed at all

On arriving I was told to pay another £10 as I'm 50 mins early also £10 for parking ..being as I had booked online I was taken back as wasn't expecting the extra cost ..I said I will wait in the bar then until I book in to save the added £10 ..but was told the bar doesn't open till 5 .we arrived at 2.10 ..so I felt ok just pat the extra and go to my room . . The room was stifling hot we tried to set the air con but it wasn't doing g anything to cool the room down it was so bad we couldn't sit in the room ..we went back down to reception and no staff in site ..we assumed all the rooms would be the same ..so we had to drive to a garage to get ourselves a drink and some lunch ..we had travelled down for a party so had to struggle to get ready in a stifling hot room and felt rushed to get out of there quickly ..we then spent to rest if the time sitting in reception to cool down from their air con ..then was hoping to get a cold drink at the bar which was supposed to open at 5 ..however again we stood at thd bar waiting to be served for 10 mins no staff in site to serve ..then the fire alarm went off at which time we just booked our cab early to take us to the venue ..I did manage to talk to a member of staff on the way out and told her about the room she said we could change rooms but at this point the cab was on its way ..however I did ask for a fan to be put in my room for my return they did do this ... My stay felt very rushed as I couldn't make use of the room as I should of been able to ..and to be charged the extra £10 for turning up 50 mins early only to not be able stay in the room was bit of a let down ... I do understand the weather was hot outside but I think the Aircon in the rooms should of been checked that they work properly for health and comfort reasons that was a big let down

Customers who are booked for the same days as large coach parties would benefit from being given separate breakfast time or to be notified when that large group would be present so that they can avoid not getting into restaurant and having to eat at a low table in Reception. Breakfast was however amazing!!
