The room we were in was a long distance from the reception It was quiet so staff weren't at the bar to serve drinks we needed to request a service a couple of times in order to purchase drinks The single beds in our twin room were not that comfortable and the mattress tended to slide when turning over during the night

I am extremely surprised at how friendly and welcoming the staff at the Harlow Hotel was, from the moment l walked into the hotel, the front of house staff was exceptionally welcoming and accomadating towards me. The hotel met with all my needs throughout my one night stay.

The staff were very helpful im trying to solve the various problems that we encountered. They offered us a free drink at the bar for the problems that we had encountered. I felt sorry for the staff, as it seemed that their primary role was damage control. The breakfast was OK.

The hotel is really showing its age, with dated decor and numerous signs of wear and tear. There were a lot of things that were wrong. Our first problem was that the room we were assigned was at the end of the hotel and very noisy from the adjacent main road. Fortunately, the staff changed the room. Again, it was a twin room, rather than a double, which they were unable to provide. In addition the air-conditioning wasn't working in that room, although this did not turn out to be a problem, despite the hot weather. In the second room, the toilet cistern was faulty and leaked. The staff did their best to fix it, without success, with the result that it leaked rather noisily all night and kept us awake, even though we shut the bathroom door. In addition to this, there was the noise of running water - like a white noise that continued until around 7am. We had dinner included in our package but for some reason we were not able to eat in the restaurant and had to eat in the bar area.

Beds uncomfortable and lots of noise in the morning. Resembles Crossroads motel. Dynamic pricing on breakfast, that was cold and expensive drinks. Parking should be free. Wouldn't recommend. Needs a proper make over.

The staff were amazing and friendly

The Hotel is in need of some refurbishment especially the carpets downstairs and the outside space also the air on in my friends room was not working at all.
