Hotel Edelweiss

Hôtel parfait sur tous les points pour un séjour à Genève:) Et que dire de l’ambiance du restaurant, merci pour tout:)

We booked this hotel but did not stay the outside is old and shabby it’s in a dirty square with a noisy bar and what looks like the red light district round the corner from outside it looks nothing like the photo on the web it may be nice inside but looked dirty from the outside unfortunately

My family and I stayed here for a couple weeks two years ago, and were so thoroughly happy, that we decided to take a small detour on our skiing trip to sleep in Geneva just because we knew this hotel was a sure stay. Still as wonderful as when we first stayed here. Will be coming back every time we visit Geneva!! Wonderful staff and beyond clean!

My favorite hotel in Geneva, I always stay here. The location is very convenient- close to main train station, lake, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Everything is in walking distance. Very friendly and professional staff. Room is always clean. I definitely recommend for everyone!!! Thanks Edelweiss for our pleasant stay!!!

The front des staa was friendly and provided good recommendations.

Excellent hotel, great location. Restaurant is not open Sundays but you are 50m from the nearest restaurants, so it was pretty easy. Great room, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Job done

Hotel Edelweiss is an absolute gem - a 10 minute stroll from the City Centre, nothing is too far away. The restaurant is amazing - you are immediately transported to the slopes, with ski memorabilia everywhere. Surrounded by pubs, restaurants and local shops, this really is a find.

Fanny and Pierre at the check in desk were professional, inviting and friendly. The breakfast buffet and staff were excellent. Great location close to many restaurants, the waterfront and a short walk to the Geneva train station.

Their claim of a"Swiss Chalet" look is a very poor Tourist point. We had stayed at many a "true" Swiss Chalet in our three month stay in Switzerland.The Edelweiss photos look great (including the non existent fire that is in reality a candle) however the reality is far different. The rooms have chipped walls as do the rooms fake looking timber work.The carpet was dirty and absolutely threadbare, you just didn't want to walk on it in bare feet.The front desk staff were not rude but were certainly not focused on customer service.If you are not fussy, have money to burn then and really don't care where you lay your head then this is the place for you.Certainly not for me.
