"Value for $"

8.0

I reached the hotel at around 9am. But the hotel staff was nice to let us check in so early. The room is pretty new and there are many TV channels to watch. The hotel is probably around 300m away from the tube station (approx 5-10mins) walk. The hotel is along the high end shops street and is also near to Wangfujing. It is better to near line 5 than line 1 as line 1 trains are always packed. This hotel is highly recommended for the price.

"Best value for money"

10.0

I stayed at the hotel on a trip to Beijing with my wife and 2 small children. It was pretty hard to fault the hotel. They were pretty amazing and the price we paid was very reasonable. When I travel with work I usually stay at the more well known hotels like the Hilton but if you don't feel like paying those sort of rates then this is definitely on par especially when you factor in the value for money.

"Great value for money!"

10.0

Staff welcoming and obliging and spoke good english. Very helpful and gorgeous lobby. Breakfast reasonably good buffet and rooms good size with great large bathroom with excellent shower. We had twin room with very hard beds but good size beds. Room very comfortable and on the whole the hotel was very very good value for money - it was a business hotel with lots of chinese guests. We would stay there again and plan to next year.

"Cheap room at a Great Hotel with good Food, Helpful Staff, Hard Beds, and decent location."

10.0

This hotel was awesome and everything I expected. The breakfast brunch was really good, but priced like you were in the US. We paid a really low price in my opinion for the level of accommodation we experienced. Im not sure what the normal rate is, but in the US this hotel would be comparable to a Hilton or Hyatt. The pool was being remodeled while we were there which may explain the cheaper prices?? The hotel itself is about a 1 mile walk from the city center at the most which was not bad at all. Not a lot going on in the area surrounding the hotel, but it felt safe at all times. The girls at the front desk helped us out by writing directions down for us in Chinese to show the cab drivers which was a huge help. Words of advice: -if you book a tour through the hotel make sure you shop around first. We found a tour for the Great wall at less than 50% of the price the hotel charges and the hotel matched the price without flinching. Most of the tour companies pick up at all of the hotels so don't be fooled into paying the hotel high commissions..... -Avoid the over priced Irish Pub about half a block down from the hotel. Molly Malone's Irish Pub = Biggest Rip off in China!!!!!!!! You order one beer and they try and bring you the largest most over priced beer in the house. Still livid about that place!!!!!! OH Yeah,,,,,The beds in this hotel are the hardest beds I have ever slept on, but I actually kind of liked it by the end of the trip.

"Not impressed"

Both the air conditioner and the TV are not working. I have to open the window all day and all night and have to get some one to turn on the TV every time I used during my stay. The location is very good, near the center of the city.

"great hotel at a great price"

8.0

5 star service, negotiatable extras, expensive buffet breakfast but worth the price (save your table upon entering), left out the door to beijings high end shopping streets, right out the door then a left or a right to bus stops and typical beijing street. never a hassle or trouble getting a taxi at the hotel. only negetive of the hotel-there was no heat or air-conditioning. (this is typical of many places in beijing at this time of year) my room was hot, but an open window made it comfortable and not noisy. the restaurant did not add a service gratuity to my bill. many places do add a service charge to your bill, the employees do and dont recieve this money-as they are paid not as a regular wage and not thru tipping-if you want to tip, tip. this is the practice in china.
