"Quiet small hotel near Esplanade"

I stayed for 11 nights while visiting family in Cairns. The Balinese was an excellent base, convenient to the main city yet quiet at night. The pool was a relief in the humidity. Breakfast and kitchen facilities were good.

The Balinese offers great accommodation with continental breakfast. It's close to the city and the staff are so nice to deal with. I won't be staying anywhere else in Cairns in the future .. our family has been staying there for a few years .. it's always clean & well presented. Well done staff!!! We tell our friends to stay there .. it's also electronically gated at night for security.. Highly recommend it!!!

"Reasonably priced hotel "

Good location in quiet area and a few minutes walk from ocean front promenade. Only issue was an air conditioner that was very difficult to operate. Breakfast was adequate.

"suitable for needs"

we holidayed in Cairns and found this motel perfectly suitable for our needs. The room was adequate, the staff were polite and helpful and the situation was close enough for a comfortable walk into the centre

"Close access to esplanade"

30mins walk to esplanade lagoon, ferry terminal and shopping centre - this motel is good only for sleeping in. Has very light breakfast. Understaff but cleanliness is not an issue - was pretty occupied with tasks hence impression of them being unfriendly. Bed is very squeaky, one of the ceiling light is blinking, and tv remote has to be reported for needing battery change. Otherwise, pool is great and overall stay was alright.

"Good value "

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was good size and clean. Liked having access to kitchen to cook. The breakfast was cereal, toast and fruit. Some protein would be nice - boiled eggs or Greek yogurt. Only downside to the Balinese is lack of wifi. They really need to add wifi to all rooms.

The bed was unconfortable creaky and the hair dryer was broken but I guess you get what you pay for!!!
