Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price This property is in serious need of a major update. The rooms and bathrooms feel outdated, and while the resort has a lot of potential, it simply doesn’t deliver on value. The food and drinks were extremely disappointing, and the service left much to be desired. Our room had no towels upon arrival, and when we requested them, only three were provided—even though our reservation clearly indicated four guests. The internet connection was unreliable throughout our stay, making it difficult to stay connected. Overall, this was not the experience we expected for the price we paid. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this resort to others.

The location is great the food choices were not...it is nearly impossible to try anything to get any reservations other than to the buffet. The room was dirty and the AC didn't work.

The place is old but has good service and cleanliness is also good.

I didn’t like the fact that I was stop at the gate only because I arrive early at the check in was until 3:45 the heat was unbearable at the gate finally I was able to get to the lobby after I have agreed to pay $30.00 each for me and my wife

Check in starts at 3pm, but they make you wait in a lobby until your name is called, and after waiting almost half an hour, they tell you your room isn’t ready and that you have to come back at 4:30 to 5:00pm. So you loose all that time since you can’t change to get in the pool and you have to wait to get settled correctly. You have to reserve every meal and make it really difficult if you want to change restaurants or the hour, it is very annoying and makes you loose the benefits of all you can eat, since you eat at their times and in the restaurant they assign you and not when you are hungry. You can reserve a room for four people and they will always leave the necessities for two persons, and when you ask for the 2 extra towels, you have to wait until the next day for them to bring them to you, and when they clean the room, which is not very clean, they still leave you 2 towels. The hotel is outdated and you can noticed all the things that need to be fixed since everything is really old. It is the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced, since they have their rules that adapt to the hotel’s benefit and the customer has to adapt to those rules, it’s never to give the best customer experience. The only thing that can be saved from this experience is that some waiters are really kind and give every you want, but I would not recommend this hotel and I’m never coming back.

Fist the check in process was poor. I felt like I was in a heard of cattle When we finally spoke with someone and told them my grandson would be joining us she said we could not check in until we had a written permission from his father along with a copy of my grandson‘s passport. I told her I had the passport she could copy it she said no it had to come with a letter later. She said she just needs a copy of my son‘s passport with the letter she wasn’t gonna let us check in until I told her my grandson was out with us right now and will be in two days so can we check in without him right now she let us finally check in Very very frustrating then we wanted to make reservations for the special restaurants and found out you had to stand in line every morning to make a reservation for a special restaurant. You couldn’t make all of your reservations at one time that is ridiculous. The food at the restaurant was poor. The food special restaurants was very disappointing. They had four special restaurants. One was closed down the steakhouse she had a choice between a steak unknown type or a Young steak unknown type. That’s for the only steaks available. The grounds are beautiful, but the procedures rules and food are horrible. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this facility.

I enjoyed the location and the tours offered were amazing. My only issue was the fact that I didn’t speak Spanish (my fault not anyone else’s) but when I used translate voice I found some of the staff speaking about me in not the nicest ways

Check in and check out process was terriblw, the staff waa rude. No timea werw given to us for dining reaevations and misaed opportunities to reserve dinner. The fact that we had to reserve our food times was just terrible also.

I booked a Premium Room at Decameron Salinitas, expecting a high-quality stay. Instead, I got an old, worn-out room with a broken A/C. I reported it, but no one did anything until the next day. When they finally checked it, they admitted it didn’t work at all. They moved me to another room that was even older and more run-down than the first. The food was terrible — a lot of it, but no quality whatsoever. It felt like a cheap buffet with no flavor or care. The worst part, though, was the service. Most of the staff don’t seem to understand the basics of hospitality. You’re treated like you’re asking for favors, not like a paying guest. Everything is “no,” “can’t do,” “not available.” It gets frustrating very quickly. Honestly, I wouldn’t stay here again. Surf City is a much better option: more to see, way better service, and excellent value for the money. Not recommended at all. Save your time and money.
