Royal Decameron Salinitas - All Inclusive

We stayed at the Royal Decameron Salinitas from March 17 to 28, 2025. We especially liked the fact that nature has been preserved on the hotel grounds, which are very spacious and impeccably clean. The ponds and lagoons are home to a phenomenal number of birds and other creatures, which wake up at 6 a.m. It's important to note that it's quiet early in the morning, but things get worse as the day goes on. We stayed in block 4 and thought we would enjoy absolute peace and quiet, but that was without counting on the noise made by partygoers around the pool and on the beach... sometimes three or four loud music systems playing at the same time—impossible to read and relax! On top of that, the towel kiosk attendants joined in and also played music at full volume... It would be good to enforce the rules, otherwise what's the point of paying more for a higher category room? Otherwise, no complaints about the food, both at the buffet and at the à la carte restaurants (we tried the Thai, the steakhouse, and the seafood). The only downside: the portions are huge at the à la carte restaurants—it's hard to finish your plate! This hotel is frequented by 90 percent Spanish-speaking guests (mainly Salvadorans, Guatemalans, and Hondurans). They are friendly and respectful, as are the hotel staff, who are simply adorable! If you only do one excursion, we highly recommend the Santa Ana volcano. It's simply spectacular! The view from the edge of the crater is absolutely amazing! But be warned: you need to be in good physical shape. The round trip is 7 km, and you climb to an altitude of 2,300 meters. Not for the faint of heart! In summary, our stay would have been perfect if we could have enjoyed a more peaceful atmosphere. Recommendation to management: enforce quiet hours and prohibit music around the pool and on the beach in front of the superior room blocks. Partygoers and music lovers can gather around the main pool!

I had the worst experience! at 2:30 am there where people in front of my room with loud speakers and music screaming and whistling! i called security and they came and did nothing! after security left the people making noise started knocking on my door multiple times as my two daughters and I where sleeping . It went on until 5am! The next day i went to the lobby to ask for a room change and they said to drop key off and wait till 3-4:30 pm to get a room! thats crazy what was i supposed to do with my belongings and my girls till then! The manager tried to minimize the situation by saying well nothing bad happened! As for the food it was often cold and most dinner options were closed! Customer service was awful, servers are rude ! night shows sucked ! this place has gone down so bad! i have been here 4 times and this will be my last! as i was checking out they proceed to tell me i didn’t pay for two girls ! What!! why not tell me the day i checked n that there had bern a mistake! overall worst birthday vacation ever! they ruined it for me! I do not recommend this place anymore!

Rooms nice, property nice, people nice. Food okay seems like the same foods at each meal and not really the best.

The resort is big and beautiful! The staff was extremely nice. They have several pools and beaches. The only suggestions is more activating during the day. They have lots of restaurants but they book fast. Food was good! We will definitely stay here again.

This resort is “ok” the property is run down, the rooms although clean the mattress and pillows are old not comfortable, the bathrooms are rundown and rusti, the food is nothing to brag about and they are constantly seeking to make you a partner, we enjoyed the saltwater pool

It says to check in at 3pm let me tell you you make a line from 1pm out side the hotel to get in at 3pm got to front desk room was not available we were told to cone back 3:30-5pm meanwhile your not aloe to get on the pool you can eat or drink but drink were horrible nasty they use bottle sodas with no gas food waa nasty for me my experience dont waist your money in this place not worth it they’re other resort closs by the you would love

We booked a vacation here in Decameron for 2 rooms for my wife and I and my 3 daughters. My wife is from El Salvador but we reside in Canada and I was very excited to go and visit but oh my God we made a horrible choice choosing Decameron. We paid for a premium room and we got an old worn down room with a king size bed and two worn down beds with stains all over them and my kids had also a room with stains on their beds. It was disappointing, disgusting also my air conditioner broke down someone came to repair but at 1am it started making a loud noise, I had to climb on a chair and turn the damn thing off (my a/c) is very old and it doesn’t have a controller. Another huge problem was with toilet paper, it’s actually locked so if you run out you have to call someone to unlock it for you, pretty ridiculous. Reception service is horrible they literally hang up the phone on you, they do not care whatsoever. Food is not good at all and you have to make reservations to go to the buffet, how ridiculous is that??? Please do NOT wast your money on this garbage hotel, El Salvador is such a beautiful country but this garbage hotel gives it a bad name. We will never be back here again.

The bedroom needs to be updated, ours have mold on the walls and the ac was liking a lot as well. Buffet doesn’t have too much variety and a lot of flys on the food. My wife, aunt and I got sick for two days from the food. Lack of communication between resort and guess. Never visit this place again.
