The view was great and the breakfast was fine, but the rooms are outdated and has a very odd smell that wouldn’t go away, and the loudest air conditioner box that never cooled the room properly just sounded like a train on tracks all night long. The pillows were flat and the bed was excessively hard. I would spend the extra money and go elsewhere as this was not a cheap location.

An absolutely gorgeous location with an air of elegance.

Our stay was very nice, hotel convenient but it needs to be kept cleaner. Hallways were not so clean, shower was in the bathtub so very inconvenient for older people. We were beneath the dining room, so chairs were being pulled out from tables making the room noisy. The breakfast was very satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just the hotel cannot be considered a “Grand” hotel. That era has passed

Hotel Miramare provides beautiful views of the coast of Taormina. Very close to sights, shopping and restaurants. The room was somewhat old-fashioned, but nice. However, there was a funny smell on the floor where we were staying.

The location and views are amazing! Easy walk into town for shopping, sightseeing and dinner. Delicious breakfast included with your stay. Friendly staff.

This is an old hotel in need of serious updating. The view is 4 stars. Note that access to the pool is many many flights of stairs down.

Had a quiet and relaxing stay here. The rooms are large, with comfortable beds and an ample sized balcony to sit on for morning coffee. Fantastic views of Isola Bella and the coastline towards Forza D’Agro. A short walk to the bus terminal for taking excursions. A couple of good restaurants nearby if you don’t want to walk into town. The town is about 15 minutes of slow walking away, and is full of restaurants, shops and historical buildings and churches. Easy walk to the huge greek theatre. The only need for the nearby cable car is if you want to go down to the beaches, otherwise this is not needed to get up into the town. We had a very warm welcome by Salvatori, who has looked after us with passion and warmth. The breakfasts are good (a lot to choose from) with a choice of sitting in the dining room or outside. Rooms have aircon if needed, but you can sometimes hear your neighbours if they have loud voices.
