La Vue D'Or

We have just got back from a week at Hotel La Vue D’or and we had an incredible week. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Tony was our main waiter who was fantastico and made us laugh. All staff work really hard to bring the best experience at staying at the hotel. We stayed half board and we were very impressed with the food. Breakfast is a continental style breakfast with some bacon, eggs and baked beans also. Dinner is the choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts. Highly recommend the lasagna, portions are good and good all really nice. Rooms are a good size and kept very clean, lovely views. Pool area nice and quiet, no need to get up at 6am to reserve a seat. Frequent shuttle bus to Sorrento incredibly helpful. We enjoyed spending time at the pool till 4 then getting the bus to Sorrento and staying a few hours then back for dinner. Bus driver also very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to going, we will definitely be back in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

Had a wonderful week here with my wife , the hotel is in the mountains overlooking sorrento , and is a beautiful place , the staff are also wonderful and cater to any need , food in hotel is fantastic but would suggest eating out in the many restaurants sorrento has to offer in the evening which is easily accessible as the hotel puts on a free shuttle bus to and from sorrento every hour ,will definitely be back

The views from our room were exceptional. The pool area was lovely, again with fantastic views. The staff were all super friendly and helpful if we needed anything. The Shuttle bus from the hotel was also great as a taxi to the main town was quite pricey.

Weird toilet paper location, but 5 star

A really great hotel. We had a family room with a double and 2 separate singles . Plenty of room for us all .lovely balcony view over Sorrento . Pool was clean and well used when we were there . Plenty of sunbeds . We booked our trip to Pompeii with the hotel and it was extreme good . Breakfast was good, fruit , cereal , rolls, cheese , ham, bacon,scrambled eggs, beans . Lots of little cakes and pastries . Coffee from a machine so sometimes you had to wait . We didn’t eat at night , but the lunchtime was fine , nice choice , out two teenagers were happy . Shuttle bus down was quarter past the hour and returns on the half hour . Very handy . We would stay again certainly

Staffs were amazing, from the front desk to the housekeeping excellent, courteous , professional very friendly, I will comeback again

The food was abysmal! The free breakfast was mediocre at best, the dinner was disgusting, it makes me gag remembering it. We stayed in 4 star hotels in Rome, Sorrento, and Venice on this vacation, all around the same price per night (Rome was the least expensive) and this was by far the worst hotel not only on this trip, but that we’ve had as a family. There is a bus that goes to the center once per hour, otherwise there’s no way to get down. It was never on time, and there are times when it doesn’t run at all. The sheets are like sand paper, the furnishings are ugly, the shower had strands of hair on the wall. The toilet paper holder was 4 feet from the toilet, so you have to get up to get paper while using the restroom. Also, there were animals braying outside our window, so forget about sleeping in! It very much dampened our Sorrento experience!

I recently stayed at this hotel with my mother and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience with a male staff member. He repeatedly asked me personal questions, such as whether I was married and if I would go out for dinner with him. Despite politely declining, he continued to linger and stare, making both of us feel uneasy to the point where we avoided certain areas of the hotel. On one occasion, when my mother went to get water, he asked if her daughter (me) was upstairs asleep — which felt extremely inappropriate and unsettling. I was so uncomfortable that I placed a chair against the door at night to feel safe. When I raised these concerns with the receptionist at checkout, I was told the staff member was “lonely,” which I felt was an inadequate response to serious behavior. This experience left us feeling unsafe and unwelcome. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, big pool, good food, nice staff, free shuttle service to the city all day. Would definitely recommend and go back in the future ! The view is just incredible too !

The location is clean and the view is spectacular, however it is very inconveniently located. There is absolutely nothing within walking distance. You need to take a bus which isn’t really frequent enough and is so crowded you will likely stand on the dangerous curved 15 minute ride to the hotel, even if you arrive 20 minutes before the scheduled departure. The pool and pool area are small and crowded- it was rare we were able to get lounge chairs. The staff is very nice and the included breakfast is good.
