La Vue D'Or

We have just returned from a week long stay in Hotel La Vue d'Or booked through Jet2 - What a fantastico hotel! Clean and well appointed with a team of friendly, attentive staff who made us feel so welcome throughout our very relaxing and enjoyable stay! Set high in the hills above Sorrento overlooking the terraces of olive gardens and citrus groves, the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, yet has the convenience of a free shuttle bus to and from the town every hour. It seemed to us that every single guest bedroom has a private balcony with far reaching views over the bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius which were truly out of this world. No noisy traffic sounds to be heard even outside on the stunning pool and sun terraces. I am so glad we chose to stay here and would definitely return - It is the perfect base from which to explore everything that Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast have to offer!

Ah we had a lovely week here. The Hotel is beautiful, the location has superb views high over Sorrento. The check in was quick and friendly, we had a great room 353 the balcony was spacious and view was wow ! The room was very clean , spacious , comfortable and had everything we needed. We took mini kettle as knew there wasn’t one in the room. We were half board and thought the food was wonderful, breakfast was Buffett and you chose your 3 course evening meal in the morning and then it was served to your table. Everything was very efficient and the staff were brilliant and very friendly/ helpful 🙏 We enjoyed the cocktails and the Peroni was good. There is a shuttle bus hourly that takes you to Sorrento hourly, takes about 15 mins. We did local boat trip to Almafi and Positano much cheaper than TUI - a fab day out. There’s so many excellent places to eat in Sorrento too, we went to Donna Sofia, La Favorita(oldest restaurant in Sorrento ) We managed to watch our team in Premier league match in the hotel bar area ⚽️ Thank you for a perfect week 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹in beautiful Sorrento. The team at the Hotel made our stay even better - Tariq in the bar was so lovely and helpful and made excellent Pina Coladas! Tony kept us entertained and the whole team in restaurant were fab . Cleaners excellent as were reception and management

My sister and I enjoyed our stay. The staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful. There are some areas that could use some attention - tissues and wash cloths should be provided, bed comforters should be better laundered, cob webs in the corners of the room, dining room lighting should be dimmed at night... These are very simple things to improve upon that would definitely enhance your guests experience. Overall, this is a very nice affordable hotel with amazing views and LOVE the free shuttle transportation to Sorrento. Grazie for an unforgettable visit!!!

Hotel is very old, but has an old charm to it. Hotel has a nice shuttle service, however, without this, the location is really not ideal for tourists. Pool is freezing cold, views are great.

The name says it all really. You are about 20 minutes outside the centre but the hotel have a free shuttle bus once an hour every day. Staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. Rooms were not huge, but clean and serviced daily. Only downside was that of the 6 USB sockets, only 1 of them seemed to work.

Amazing spot with incredible views of the Sorrento coast and it's surrounding mountains. Friendly staff and good restaurant.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views! Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent with plenty of food choices, bedroom and hotel areas very clean, shuttle service on the hour was very handy if you didn’t want to take the car or walk in to Sorrento. Is there only one thing that I have to mark it down, is not having a way to make a coffee or tea in the bedroom as we arrived from a long day travelling the bar was shutting at 00:00 and restaurant obviously shut at least being able to make a hot drink in the room would have been nice

Had the most amazing holiday here. Did have doubts before I arrived due to negative comments but cannot find anything negative to feed back. We arrived at 9pm and were offered a cold meal and gelato which was so welcome after our journey. The room was clean and bed comfortable. All the staff without exception have been friendly, polite and welcoming. Great choice of food at breakfast. Evening meal is ordered at breakfast and there are 5 starters and mains to choose from and three desserts. Every meal has been lovely and waiters do a brilliant job. I am in awe as to how smoothly meal times run…food is hot and tasty and a totally seamless experience. Lovely to see the manager pop up all over the hotel - reception, kitchen, bar - very hands on! The view is just to die for and the shuttle bus faultless. The only minor point I can raise is the lack of somewhere on the bathroom for wash bags which is neither here nor there! Would not hesitate to recommend - a totally brilliant stay in a beautiful location

The staff and manager were terrific and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding, especially being greeted by Tony, who always puts a smile on people's faces. The best part was the transportation. Thank you for a fantastic stay and for allowing us to move to a bigger room!!!!! I have always recommended people to your hotel! But the older rooms should be updated, at least by changing the old bedcovers and the colors. The upgraded room on the other side of the building felt more lively and cheery since the walls were white and the bedspread was beige. The lower room, which smelled old and had dark and gloomy colors, was small and smelled old. Making a few changes would be a benefit for your hotel. Also, change the flags outside the building.
