"Amazing sunrise kayak tour with Ranger Rob!"

10.0

I took my students from the Veterinary Assisting program at ATA College on a sunrise wildlife kayak tour yesterday morning and it did not disappoint! We got to see manatee, dolphins and multiple different species of beautiful birds, including 3 Roseate Spoonbills!! Ranger Rob makes this experience extra amazing. He is so knowledgable and friendly! I would recommend this resort, and the kayak tour associated with it, to everyone.

"Magical Kayak Tour (Thank you Ranger Rob!)"

10.0

The sunrise kayak tour was so amazing all thanks to Ranger Rob! He is very knowledgable and knows what he is talking about when it comes to wildlife in the area. The timing was perfect too, we got to see so many animals including dolphins, manatees, pelicans, and even a shark! I would highly recommend him for anyone who is thinking about doing a tour. It's very worth it.

"Day Pass Gem..."

8.0

Love the day pass concept and beach/pool option. We were there on a very busy day but the pools did not feel crowded. The hotel has a nice vibe and the outdoor space and activities are quite nice. We booked a day pass and one of the thatched cottages. The thatched cottages are bare bones. They set some chairs up for you and supply a cooler full of cold water. You can order five snacks from the menu. We ate lunch at Bongos, the restaurant on property, and the food was great. Our server was very busy but the food came out fast. The prices were fair too. They did appear understaffed but that seems to be the case everywhere. We have booked other resort day passes that were a better value as they included lunch. The beaches are nicer on Sanibel and Captiva, however Fort Myers is a great choice as well since there is plenty of beach to enjoy. We would go back.

"Everything you need for a great vacation."

10.0

This was a great experience for my family. This resort has everything to make this a great stay is a great value for the price. The kayaks and SUP were a hit with my teen. I enjoyed renting the premium seating and day bed for a couple of day - it just took the pressure off getting chairs. That was a great feature. My family also enjoyed renting the bikes. The pools are fantastic! The breakfast was filling. We also ate several nights at the resort and really enjoyed it.

"Nice stay but improvements needed"

8.0

Overall positives: 1) Rooms were clean and updated. 2) Gulf views are wonderful 3) Adults only pool nice for a bit of quiet 4) Front desk and concierge were helpful and very nice 5) Texting system to communicate with hotel staff is top notch Negatives - Hotel related 1) Bar and restaurant staff need to understand that customers have options - eye rolls (for example, when my wife requested a modest change to her meal for health reasons). Similar happened to me at the main poolside bar - and no, we were not asking for anything crazy :) 2) Elevators are always a wait - not sure how to fix that one Negatives - Location 1) Not their “fault” but the area still is recovering from the 2022 hurricane. Many shops are still closed - limited restaurant options. 2) Beach needs to be maintained - a wide swath of sea debris several inches deep between the beach and water (I assume that should be done by the city) 3) Traffic is bad - especially getting over the bridges to the beach - 30 minutes to travel 2 miles - this was consistent Overall - a 4 rating was the best I could justify.
