"Wonderful vacation spot!"

10.0

Pink Shell Resort leaves out nothing to make your stay amazing! The staff is friendly, they have kids activities all day, an adult-only area with a pool and hot tub, as well as a huge walk-in pool for families. The beach is incredible! Beautiful white sands, calm water and enough chairs and umbrellas for everyone. They even provide thick long towels for the beach - not stingy at all. Perfect beach for walking in the morning or taking in the sunset at night (and of course, for enjoying some sun!). There are plenty of restaurants around the area - be sure to ask about the "golf" cart transportation that will take you into town. if you do take your own car, its only $5 to park on the street. I highly recommend taking a kayak trip with Ranger Rob and/or Peyton. Rob not only knows the area well, he provides commentary about every bird, fish and mammal that you may encounter on your trip. On our trip, we saw an osprey, a manatee, and an Anhinga, but more than that, we learned about the mangroves, some history of FORT MYERS and how everyone recovered from hurricane Ian. It was a lovely 2-hour paddle. We will definitely be bringing our friends back with us next time!

"Ranger Rob is the best!"

10.0

My husband and I went with my in-laws to Pink Shell after they had raved about it for several years. I see the hype! It is incredible. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable and always willing to help. Specifically, I’d like to call out Ranger Rob. My husband and I went on one of his kayak tours and it was an amazing. We saw so many birds and manatees and had the time of our lives. Rob is incredibly knowledgeable, funny and always willing to help both people and wildlife. I highly recommend taking a tour with him!

"If your looking for fun look not further!"

10.0

We had an amazing time at the Pink Shell. We enjoyed morning walks and shelling on their beautiful beach to sitting by the pool and enjoying the great drinks and pool side service. They provided entertainment and activities for the kids and adults if your daring enough try. We must say our favorite part was our morning beach walk with Ranger Rob followed by his kayak tour through the mangroves. He did an amazing job ensuring everyone in the group was comfortable and safe in their own abilities. I would not recommend skipping out on his adventures young or old. He will educate you on this amazing ecosystem here in Florida. Thank you Pink Shell for a wonderful family vacation and the great memories.

"Thank you, Pink Shell! (And especially to Ranger Rob!)"

10.0

The Pink Shell is just such an amazing place! We loved the Pink Shell SO much. It's a wonderful, clean, kind family resort. The pools are fabulous for young children & the food is delicious and plentiful. The location is perfect & the rooms are lovely. One special highlight is Ranger Rob! My daughter LOVED his nature programs, especially the Jr. Ranger. Ranger Rob is a treasure. He is both a child whisperer and a keen scientist. We came knowing my daughter would enjoy his programs & he exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Ranger Rob & Payton! Also hugs to Danielle at breakfast. I rarely saw a grumpy face at the Pink Shell & we don't want to leave. It's clear how hard the staff works & how much care goes into their jobs. The movie night & crafts & endless ice cream is a treat. We will absolutely return. And extra gratitude to Ranger Rob!

"Family Vacation in Nature"

10.0

We loved our family vacation at Pink Shell. Our room had an ocean view and was wonderful for accessing the resort amenities. Our housekeeping staff were so attentive and the resort was very clean. The service with the resort staff was always welcoming and considerate. The location of the resort is wonderful for accessing the beach, as well as Times Square by taking a free tram ride. The atmosphere is very family friendly with activities hosted throughout the day. The value was well worth it! The breakfast each morning was very nice too! We had a room close to the pool, but the noise was great as we couldn't hear a thing. Also we enjoyed a lot of the fun activities! We did the foam party, message in a bottle, and sundaes! We truly enjoyed our time with Ranger Rob and Peyton on the nature walk as well as the back bay kayak. They went above and beyond! On the nature walk, we saw two ospreys dueling over a mackerel and he went and got the dropped mackerel! The kids were able to see wildlife in action. We also saw dolphins close to the beach. On the kayak tour, we saw birds, sting ray, fish and mangroves. We enjoyed reading all the nature facts around the building too. I'd highly recommend Pink Shell! The naturalist features and teaching your kids on vacation the importance of the wildlife around them was truly inspiring as I could see their curiosity peak. They even organized their shells by type. Oh, the pink shell gives shell bags! So cool!!!

"Dinner on the Beach"

10.0

Dinner on the beach was wonderful! We arrived and were given a glass of champagne and escorted to our private table under a cabana on the beach. The sunset views were spectacular, our waiter, Damien, was attentive and helpful. We chose the charcuterie, lobster ravioli, capresese and caesar salads, and the steak dinner. All were delicious and so much food. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake and creme brulee. Dinner won’t be super hot because it is a long way out to the beach from the restaurant, but it did not disappoint. Steaks were cooked perfectly. We chose a house bottle of wine and it was just fine. No need to spend the extra money on the upgrade. Remember, you are here for the experience and it did not disappoint. We will be back again next year!

"Awesome nature program at a once high-end hotel"

10.0

This rating is primarily for Ranger Rob and the wildlife/nature program at the resort. I was here for a wedding. I am not the sit by the pool or beach type. For me, Ranger Rob and the nature program was THE best part of my stay. There is a very informative hut on the beach dedicated to learning about the wildlife in the area. The hut all sort of cool shells, bones, preserved wildlife. I took the complimentary morning nature walk. I learned SO much in the 30 minute walk with Ranger Rob. He would just pick up something he spots on the beach and talk about it.l, i.e. a dead full moon jellyfish for example. He also is very passionate about restoring the health of the water and protecting wildlife. He wears a other hat doing animal rescue for Fish and Wildlife. So knowledgable and easy to talk to. And very funny. I took the back may kayak tour, which was fun and adventurous. There are also many information signs around the resort about wildlife and the habitat here. I also want to give a 5 star rating to Devin, a server at Jack's. I had breakfast on the terrace, and Devin came up to me, while I was in line for the food,to tell me that a bird had landed on my table and that he was taking away the omelette that was on my table. He wasn't even my server. That is passion for customer service. As for the resort itself, for the price, I was expecting something more high end. For just the resort, my rating would have been 3 stars. Yes the views to the beach was nice. In other aspects, I was disappointed. I read somewhere that there was a Farm to Table restaurant at the hotel led by a chef who is the head of the regional slow food organization. When I came, I realized that was part of the hotel's past. I think at one point it was very high end. Now the price of the food is high but the quality was not great. Other aspects: the public bathrooms are like ones you would see at a beach and not well maintained. The ice cream shop sells packaged ice cream bars, not fresh scooped ice cream.

"Good Option at FMB"

10.0

Pink shell is a good option if staying in FMB. Read some complaints about pricing recently on social media. Id say it’s the level of a good 4-star hotel, not sure if they’re charging 5-star pricing. Lobby was nice with an ocean view. We stayed in main building above lobby. 1 bedroom suite was very clean on arrival and we loved that it had washer-dryer in room. Bathroom was large and kitchen was well appointed with Kuerig. Excellent ocean view, we were on 9th floor. Can’t overlook that every room is ocean view here, no begging and pleading with front desk at check in to avoid utility or parking lot view like many other hotels Ive stayed at, which is a huge perk of this resort. Main pool was good with a decent amount of seating available. Thought it was ridiculous that first row of seating was reserved for people to pay extra, but overall there were enough chairs for anyone to find something. Having kids, I like that there is an adult only pool and hot tub, so people that want to avoid kids can do so. Pool bar food at Bongos was good enough, Ive stayed at places that had disgusting pool food. The free breakfast and free valet are good features, of course you’re paying a resort fee, but some places in SW Florida have resort fees and still charge for breakfast and valet. Pool is heated which we liked. We didn’t spend a ton of time on beach but the sand there is very good, better than I expected. The beach tends to have some seaweed, but Im sure that varies based on tide and weather conditions. Water sports are available on beach immediately in front of hotel which was very convenient. They had some daytime activities with crafts and stuff like that. Suggestions Id have is to add some more games for kids with activities, not just crafts. They had that the day we arrived for the “pool party” but never again the whole week. Id also suggest adding some early evening activities that are posted. I heard there was karaoke one night, but never saw that posted to take part. Saw live music one night, but that was never posted either that we noticed. Id also suggest playing some light music by pool. We weren’t looking for blasting party music, but I think this is the only resort I ever been to with no music poolside whatsoever. We never tried their Italian restaurant.
