Helpful staff, good value break in a convenient location with parking.

No built in air con but stand alone units were helpful

This hotel is rated on Booking.com as 4star, it certainly not. Our total experience was most disappointing, We decided to buy breakfast outside the hotel, as it was such a poor offering. Making tea from a flask of lukewarm water is not a good experience. There was a very limited selection of fruit, and no cut fresh fruit, bread was limited to basic white and brown sliced loaf. Coffee was very old standard, served from a free standing coffee unit. If croissant and Danish ran out, that was your bad luck, as there was no more! Midweek staff for breakfast was 1 person, who seemed to be doing the cooking as well!. The courtyard bedroom, booked as the only walk in shower was in one of them, suffered form poor air circulation, and noise form passing pedestrians. Towels in the bathroom, were certainly not high quality, and were not changed at first when left on the floor to indicate that they should be. We would not stay again.

Bathrooms need to be vented properly so black mould doesn’t take over. Unfortunately there was black mould in the bathrooms in the rooms we stayed at.

Room very good. Facilities acceptable. Location very good. Food was ok.

Clearly a historic old building, so some areas are a little tired, but this did not detract from our excellent stay. nice clean comfortable and quiet room.
